Not necessarily true.
Ibe's was similar to Coutinho's goal against QPR on the final day of the season in terms of placement. You see the Aspas goal happen almost every other week in the Premier League, when the goalkeeper is caught out flat footed.
I'm sure we'll see Liverpool score plenty of similar goals against PL opposition.

The goalkeeping was a bit suspect for Ibe's goal. The goalkeeping was absolutely horrific for Aspas's goal.

We certainly don't score many long range goals anyway. Since Gerrard lost his radar, a long time ago. Guess a lot of players can't really get much power behind the shots.

And both occur frequently in the Premier League.

My impression was that Aspas hit his shot right at the keeper.

It was a quick shot, which curved and dipped. Why would the goalkeeper dive to his right if the shot was going straight at him? He was beaten by the movement of the ball.
My point is, you see these kind of goals in the Premier League, so to say that it wouldn't have gone in against a Premier League goalkeeper isn't really accurate.
Reina let in plenty of dodgy goals last season.

I can't recall any goals like that in the Premier League.

I'll be sure to point you towards the next one in the Premier League, which will probably happen in the first round of fixtures.

The thing is keepers usually play well against us in the Premier League
Reina was really the only keeper who I can remember last season that constantly made mistakes costing his team goals

Exactly! In Germany you have Dortmund and Bayern, in Spain you have Real and Barca, in Italy you have Juventus, but in England we basically have a 20 team title race! Anyone can beat anyone on any day, it's beautiful.Theo Filippo wrote:And that is why the premier league is the greatest league on Earth.

Precisely, it's unreal how many so called 'world class' players avoid coming to the premier league like Cavani, Ibrahimovic, Iniesta and Falcao!

Should we really be surprised? It must be nice to inflate your goalscoring record when 18 out of every 19 weekends, you're playing a team that couldn't make it into the NPower Championship. It takes a brave player to consistently challenge himself against good teams week-in, week-out.Theo Filippo wrote:Precisely, it's unreal how many so called 'world class' players avoid coming to the premier league like Cavani, Ibrahimovic, Iniesta and Falcao!

I agree that's what puts players such as Benteke, Dyer and Fellaini above all of these foreign muck afraid to move to England.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Jesus wept. There is absolutely 0 chance that there will be a 7-team title race. The underlying reality is that by January, it will be a two-team race and Manchester United will inevitably win their 21st title or else they will choke in the latter rounds and another team will come up and challenge. It's taken multi-quadrillionaires for the two actual candidates to overtake Manchester United and in that period Manchester United have still dominated the BPL. And stupid ice cream nazi faggot British extremists say that their league is the most competitive league in the world.

Claudio Pizarro is a perfect example. Destroyed defenses abroad, yet he couldn't hack it against the likes of Scott Dann and Roger Johnson.

Also Fernando Morientes, Andriy Shevchenko allegedly two 'world class' forwards at the time of moving and Lionel Messi has never scored in an away leg in England.

The Premier League has created outstanding forwards like the one and only Emile Heskey, he has scored goals in England before
has Messi?
I think not
