We're going to get absolutely destroyed, everyone's playing like shit and Suarez already missed 2 easy chances.

If this carries on, I don't want Rodgers here next season. Talks the talk but can't produce . This is our worst season in decades, the league says it, the competitions say it. I think we'll finish 7th, but if we don't then there's no excuses. He's nowhere near experienced enough to be managing us, as shown when he was pressured in to playing fucking Shelvey.
On the other hand we need stability, I'll wait til May to decide my opinion on Brendan.

The results really aren't going for us are they?
The problem is there's still not players capable of scoring goals, and I've heard that is important. Only Suarez and Sturridge score, and we only buy injured players hence Sturridge is out and if Suarez is misfiring we're fucked. Outside of Gerrard we get zero consistent goal threats from midfield and 8 isn't scoring that much lately, either.

Very unusual performance from Luis, not up to his usual standards.
We've got a chance at Anfield, but a very slim one, we need the crowd to be up for it.

Expected that result tonight. Zenit are a side that have just dropped out of the Champions League and are fighting for the title in Russia. We're an average mid table English side that lose to the likes of West Brom at home. And that showed out there tonight.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
We're so shit.
Season is supposedly about progress, last season we were 8th and got to 2 cup finals, this season we're 9th and out of every competition, might say Europa League makes it more difficult, but it's still been awful.
I know it sounds bad but Rodgers is already doing my head in, he talks a good game but we're yet to see any results, the team looks weak physically and mentally. Comes out with all his little buzz words, false winger and shit like that. Playing Sterling away in Russia? His whole game is about going at defenders, not suited to that match at all. Get someone like Borini in there, not seen much to say he'll be brilliant but at least he's a bit more experienced and closes down better. Sterling has never played in a match like that.
We're so fucking easy to play against, it's embarrassing, look like half the players want to press and half want to sit deep, get caught between 2 systems, midfield gets turned and then it's just hoping that they don't score. Got away with it a few times, like Carra's defending against Hulk when he burst past Allen in the first half, but when you're playing against decent players you'll get punished.
Johnson switched off for the second goal but my fucking god how did the ball even reach the back post? Allen with the most pathetic closing down I've seen in my whole life, basically showed him outside, you do that if you're fast and can keep up with them lad, you're not, you fucking slug. Enrique with his fling a right leg out and half turning of his back. Don't even know what Skrtel was doing, should be getting something on that, not good defending from Johnson but any decent team wouldn't have fucked up 3 times in 5 seconds and left their full back in a position like that.
At least Reina looked alright.

I didn't watch the game, but I was under the impression defenders (in Allen's case) should always show the forward to the outside.

It's hard to describe but just watch it, it was appalling, never got within 5 yards of him, just let him walk past.

I actually thought Allen would be decent after the first month, for the last 6 he's been shite. Completed 60% of his forward passes tonight, if that was Gerrard or Shelvey he'd get fucking slaughtered on here.

Opinions on Rodgers? I'd give him until May but I wouldn't be disappointed if I woke up to news that he's sacked to be honest.

Who else is there? FSG won't go for Rafa, nobody else is realistic, looks like we'll have to stick with him.

Here's a well-written article you should read about the managerial situation.

He was aggressive but sacking Brendan? it seems like we just have a bunch of rawk fans here now. After every performance we get a post about how this player should leave or some shit, then the next week how he is our best player from the same person. Fuck the those guys.

If we finish in the bottom half of the table then I wouldn't be surprised to see him sacked, I can only see us declining from now on and we definitely have a team capable of finishing in the top half. In an ideal world we would have got an established top level manager who had won trophies in the summer, but Rodgers is FSG's man so I can't see him sacked unless he completely fucks up in the league.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Dalglish: 47% wins, league cup, FA Cup final, 8th in league.
Rodgers: 40% wins, practically out of all competions, 9th place.
So Theo, instead of coming in to this thread with your irrelevant witty emotions, look at those facts and explain to me how Rodgers is evidently doing so much better than 'Dogleash'

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I've been thinking this for a while.
When did entertainment (if it can be called that) overtake results.
It's funny but we're just as shit as we've been for a while but people don't call us shit because we do some pretty passes in midfield. They say we're improving.
I'd rather us be a copy of Stoke and in the CL then a shitty imitation of Barca and smack bang in the middle of the league. Why does hardly anyone else see this?
Why does this only happen in football?
It used to make me laugh in the last few years when people said Arsenal played the best football in the league but they constantly finished 3rd/4th. The best football is winning football.
I don't give a fuck if Chelsea's CL win was ugly as fuck, nobody could beat them. But people were saying it was wrong that they won. Fuck off. If pretty football was the best football then Chelsea would have come undone at some point. Chelsea played the best winning football. That's all that matters.
