Tbh your goals were lucky as fuck especially the first one, 4 errors of bad defending led to your goal, Sagna's slip, Vermaelen's air clearance, Ramsey's usual fuck up and Mertesacker's deflection. You played well in the first half, but 2nd half got dominated and your second goal had luck in it as well, so yeah your goals were lucky as fuck.

Is it any surprise, when old thugs like Carragher and Gerrard are kept around to "teach the youngsters" a thing or two?

Gerrard is a saint. He was proven to have defended himself against that sickening Manc thug who disgustingly refused to play Phil Collins.

EDIT: Apparently he had a cardiac arrest during a test at Melwood or something along those lines, crazy.

Superb performance. Maybe the best of the season.

Individual errors cost us again, so frustrating. But still so many positives, Sturridge was brilliant, pace, power, skill, touch, he did everything well today. Gerrard playing his best football for the last 2/3 years as well.

Starting to get a bit of momentum, we played well for most of that match, in other games we've played well for like 60 minutes of it and then dropped off loads, or started shit and being made to catch up

In his last 9 games, Gerrard's got 5 goals and 6 assists

2 points from two of the toughest away fixtures is excellent, the fact that with even more luck and a rational goalkeeper it could have been six is insane. We have come through the toughest set of fixtures with our dignity intact-in fact, we have probably enhanced our reputation, and midtable superiority is easily within our grasps.

So, when is everyone going to admit that Reina is no longer good enough?

Avoiding the "temporary bad form" excuse, his performances have been very poor for a long time now. Every game, he fumbles from a shout outside the box, gets the ball caught in his feet etc. If it hadn't been for his poor performances this season, the team would have a good few more points.

Hey, I'll get shot down. But at least it shows somebody is admitting it. Right now, Brad Jones should be number 1. Done nothing wrong this season, and has looked fine when played. His patience alone, earns him the right for a chance.

What? So a keeper who is quite clearly awful, deserves to play over a keeper who is known to be good, and who hasn't had a decent chance/run in the side since he signed!?

He's no in-form Pepe Reina, but he's hardly fucking Rob Green. He's been good when he's played this season (not very often).
