This is a pretty decent attack, even without Suarez.

    Sturridge
    Coutinho Mkhitaryan Aspas/Alberto

It's better than any combination of our attack from last season, anyway, despite the fact we had Suarez in there.

It's been pointed out elsewhere, but players like Coutinho thrive on playing behind a finisher, and with Sturridge and potentially Borini, we have two pretty good finishers (Can't really comment on Aspas, yet). Whereas, Suarez is a bit too unpredictable in terms of style, I think, so it's not a huge, huge dent if we do lose him. Obviously, keeping him would be better, though. Really hope we do somehow hold on to him.

Having the following array of attacking talent -

Suarez, Sturridge, Borini, Aspas, Coutinho, Mkhitaryan, Luis Alberto, Suso, Sterling, Jordan Ibe

    - within our squad is mouthwatering, personally.

why must you ruin my liverpoolfc.com transfer news post

I love reading what people say, they really are clueless.

most posts end with YNWA or JFT96

    my favourite one was

"why dunt we sing ronaldo nd messi jtf96 ywna lfc 4 lyfe"

I used to think signing off a post with some acronym that was club related was cool, but only when I was like 14. I have a feeling a lot of the people could have children that age.

I remember that Balague basically said that Alberto could walk into our first team.  The lineup you posted above looks fairly accurate.  We will spread the attacking responsibilities & creativity between 3/4 competent players.  Needless to say, if Coutinho continues playing like he did this season & Mkhitaryan is as good as they say, we will have two excellent attacking midfielders with a competent forward.

We'll easily break even signing Alberto, Aspas, and Mkhitaryan while selling Suarez, meaning we'll have the money from Skrtel, Carroll, Coates, and Downing praypraypray🙏to sort out the defense.  We need someone in the Koscielny mould, I think-someone who combines intelligence with being an incredibly athletic, all around boss.  I don't want a "Carra YNWA" replacement, at the end of the day.  I don't ever want to see our team sit as deep as we did with Carra YNWA in the back.  The match that sticks out to me is the Arsenal match-we were cowardly and parked the bus, yet people claimed that it was a superb effort from the team and Carra YNWA in particular. facepalm

Liverpool's extensive summer recruitment programme is increasingly likely to include a cut-price transfer for Porto's Ghanaian international Christian Atsu after a significant breakthrough in negotiations.
The two clubs are in advanced talks and Liverpool are moving in on a deal that would see the 21-year-old winger sign for as little as £3m, on the basis that his contract expires next summer and he has already made it clear that he will not be signing another one.
Atsu, a quick, talented but sometimes erratic winger, was brought into the Porto first-team squad during André Villas-Boas's time at the club and is seen by the Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers as a player who can offer his team more width and penetration in attacking areas.
While Liverpool's summer is likely to be dominated by Luis Suárez's efforts to move abroad, the Anfield club have provisionally agreed a £7.6m deal for the Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas as well as signing Kolo Touré as a free agent and putting in place a possible deal for Shakhtar Donetsk's £22m-rated midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Simon Mignolet, the Sunderland goalkeeper, is another target as Pepe Reina contemplates his future on Merseyside, and Atsu's signing would inevitably raise more questions about Stewart Downing's position at the club.

Fucking hell, we seem to be going for so many attacking players.

There's no way we're keeping Suarez at this point. We have/could have:

Banterini, DSturr15, Aspas, Coutinho, Suso, Sterling, Mkhitaryan (?), Atsu (?), Alberto (?), Downing (!), Ibe

Competing for 3 or 4 positions.

I'm hoping the arrival of Aspas, Atsu and Alberto means that Downing is off.

But yeah, looks like Suarez is off, having seen how many attacking players we seem to be on the verge of signing (according to good sources too, this isn't just gossip shit).

We should send Suso to Wigan for the year.

    Also:

Fulham Football Club would also be a great place to send our players. A good manager, a nice club, decent playing style, and Dimitar Berbatov offering advice to his teammates.

Feels a little similar to Arsenal's efforts last summer. Few possibly brilliant signings to offset the star man leaving. Setting myself up for the pang of regret.

I think we might be pleasantly surprised by our defensive reinforcements. We will have money to burn wisely once Suarez is gone.

silly me, I completely forgot about our lack of a good centre back. What with the end of Carragher YNWA and hopefully Skrtel YNWA we should sign a good centre back.

Hopefully that will be the big name signing 'reputation' wise

so what is the deal with Assaidi, did Rodgers sign him or did somebody else sign him?

because why would you sign somebody and then barely ever play him?
