Like Theo said, at £10million he'd be good for squad depth. Any more and it'd be a hard sell for me.

Can he even play a defensive role ? When ever I've seen Newcastle play I haven't seen him do that role.

Ben Jacobs @JacobsBen 4m
The way Pardew is talking about the #Cabaye bid, sounds like Newcastle have accepted the bid from Arsenal, and Pardew is fuming about the fee"
Would be satisfied if its for 10 million, obviously we would still need a defensive midfielder like Lars Bender though.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
They've come a long way since being the club that rejected a 30m bid for Andrew Carroll.
I'm quite surprised Manchester United isn't interested at that price, although he doesn't fit Moyes's "minimum weight" qualifier.

I think £10million would be ideal. At a stretch he's worth a maximum of £15million.
Apparently Newcastle are holding out for upwards of £20million since PSG and Monaco are allegedly interested.

I love Cabaye, but a move for him just doesn't make any sense. Unless we are permanently pushing Wilshere forward?

Was Carragher high today on SKY ?
Said Mertesacker was "not for him" and that Arteta was "alright"
He was talking too fast and was almost shouting. He also ended a lot of his sentences with "I just don't know".

Mertesacker doesn't try to break opposing players legs, that's why he isn't "for him".

Played three non-ball winning midfielders against Villa, and then goes and puts in a bid in for another non-ball winning midfielder. Funny guy, that Wenger.

Lol. I love that video so fucking much. These two are great together.
Arsenal deserve nothing once again.
I might watch this video every week just to remind me how shit and retarded we are.

Isn't Benezma Real's only senior striker ? Even if they sign Bale they still need a striker. Only way I see this happening is if Madrid buy Suárez. Di Maria makes more sense since Bale and Isco will probably mean he plays even less than he did last season.

I've seen a lot of talk that Ancelotti is moving Ronaldo into a central role, and that he wants to give Morata a chance, plus they could then go and buy Suarez. Seems to make a lot of sense. Who knows though.Keyser Söze wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23790314

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
It seems likely that Madrid will be after Suarez next season (if they don't get him this year). When that happens it'll probably devalue Benezma, how often are they going to get a £40million bid for him ? Unless Monaco become interested I don't see it happening again.
Di Maria is also one is love to happen but with a RB/CB and DM as priorities I don't think it'll be likely even though a winger is still a must since Ox is out for three months leaving only two fit wingers.

No source my post was just poorly worded , I just don't think either would want to leave Madrid for Arsenal.

Good signing if true, can cover full-back areas and is good backup to Arteta.. would rather him than Cabaye.

I also agree, on a free he's certainly better than the £20million+ Newcastle want for Cabaye.

"I like centre-back because, first of all, you run less."
Liverpool would not accept this kind of thing so why should we?
