Good point, for entertainment purposes Napoli and Dortmund are far better than playing the likes of Sparta. If we finished 3rd it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world, we wouldn't get any further than the 1/4 in the CL so at least the Europa League presents a winnable trophy.

I think we may surprise a few in this group.

We will progress regardless, it's just nice to play teams like Dortmund and Napoli rather than shitty teams like Olympiakos which is still a tough and long away game.

Dortmund represent the biggest threat, say in the worst case scenario they pick up 4 points from our two games they'll be in pole position to finish top. From what I saw of Napoli in the Emirates Cup, they weren't that great. But they'll be a different animal at home and we don't travel that well. I don't think our destiny will be in our hands I think it'll be down to what happens between other teams. Ideally we'll be looking to beat Marseille, they are top of Ligue1 but Wenger usually has the beating of French teams. 6 points from them plus 1 (maybe 2) from Dortmund and 3 points from Napoli, that gives us 10(11) points. We finished with that tally last season in a much weaker group and only just scraped 2nd.

I think we should be aiming for 6 from Marsielle, 4 from Napoli, and hopefully 3 from Dortmund. I think we can achieve that with the current squad, never mind after we strengthen.

I'd argue we are better now than we were in 11/12. The only thing we have now that we didn't have back then was Robin Van Persie.
