First statement is serious, second is the praise he gets for getting into good positions. Tbf all our players have been poor in the big games bar at the Etihad and Anfield.

He had a really good game. Nice awareness for his assists, got into some good positions and showed his shooting ability (which we all know he has). Nothing ground-breaking but an intelligent performance.

Fair enough then, I want him to succeed and I don't hate him like I hate Gervais or Diablo Santos at all I just don't think he's right. I'm starting to hate Mertesacker though
