It's the fact that you just know they paid some hot shot graphics designer to come up with this and yet it's so meh.

Yeah I thought about it earlier. Someone got rich making that, and I just saw a video of someone making basically the same thing on MS Paint in just over a minute.

Oh and Garber admitted today that there is a chance that Chivas takes some time off while they get a new owner and start to rebrand. Still think they try to stay in LA, but Sacramento is making a huge push for a team, and released images of what a downtown stadium for them would look like.

Last night, Ronaldinho debuted and didn't convert a penalty, while Herculez Gomez scored the lone goal in Tigres' victory. #buyamerican

Yea that does look a little better, for some reason I thought every badge would have that white bit and then red or green or whatever depending on the team.
Also just noticed they've took the flags off the sleeves of the shirts

This would be funnier if any of you were Timbers fans

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
But it's rather funny. Through all the iterations of the Timbers (NASL, USL, MLS) they've never won anything. And I'll have to check out the REDDIT, but I don't think there are any plans for teams to actually fill in the blank area.

Say wha?
This was one of the DC United ones. Looks good, incorporating the city flag. Also, they showed it on our new secondary jerseys, and they showed three red stripes on the sleeves, so everyone is excited for that, even though we won't see them until later this year.

The fan reactions to the miss were priceless. So much disbelief and anguish.Scuba Steve wrote:Last night, Ronaldinho debuted and didn't convert a penalty, while Herculez Gomez scored the lone goal in Tigres' victory. #buyamerican

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
The latest rumor (have no idea why Moyes is there, but Sakiewicz just might be dumb enough to get him) is that Rene is going to come in to oversee the entire production on the soccer side. Curtin would remain as the manager, Chris Albright would maintain his Technical Director role, but that Rene would be some overlord to watch over everything, including the first team, reserves, and the youth academy. If Sakiewicz is hell bent on bringing in Rene, that would be the best option. Let Curtin mold the team, and Rene could be eased into the mechanics of player movement in MLS without too much immediate pressure.

What a way to send your club to its first cup final in its first season. Was down 2-0 as well.

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
Benny got a new contract that is guaranteed for the next five years. Here's hoping to him not becoming the next Pardew.
But if he finishes out that contract, he will only be 42 years old. And he will have been with the team for the last 22 years of his life. 12 as a player (well, with one break with the loan at Nottingham Forest), 1/2 a year as assistant manager, and 9 1/2 as manager of United. By then, we will also have 6 MLS Cups, and he will want to keep going, so we will get him for another five years.

Jozy with his third League Cup goal in three seasons in England. One each season. Surely then he'll score a league goal this year, to make it 3 in 3 seasons.

Curtin is going to become the permanent manager for Philly. Good move.
