Downing has been excellent, he has put in some good driven crosses and is again sacrificing himself for the team by playing LB. Sterling is showing what a lightweight player he is, he also lacks the genuine quality on the ball of Suso to make up for it.

I feel that Sterling is maybe a bit distracted with the contract thing, he hasn't been as good as he normally is in the past few games.

4 points behind 4th. Ridiculous when you think how bad/unlucky we've been this season. Had our goal against Everton stood, we'd be in a much better position.

Sterling needs dropping for the Villa game. Not convinced that he is good enough to start every week. Also don't know how many more gutless 90 minute displays Rodgers is going to allow Gerrard to get away with. Hard to believe he's the captain out there.
