Also I would prefer to have Enrique at fullback and not playing as a winger.

I think we need to play the Utd style - mix up possession with more direct play.

We need a natural goalscorer. Berbatov would be a scoring machine in our side.
I said this three years ago my friend. Too bad my theory was mocked and ridiculed by everyone, now you are watching him singlehandedly push Fulham alonside Liverpool in the league

Yeah because they worked well to get Dempsey in at the end of the window didn't they?
We need to spend more than a little. Our squad is paper thin and we are relying on youth players like Sterling to play every game.
Yes they did. They made the correct decision in the end in deciding not to go after him.
How was that the correct decision? Dempsey would have added goals to our side.

The football has been good. I was referring to our league standing and results this season when I mentioned us being boring.

I've been watching Dempsey at Spurs and he's been awful.

Just because results have been bad doesn't make us 'boring'. Means we are doing bad, has nothing to do with entertainment value.

He wasn't awful at Fulham though. I don't know what AVB has done to him at Spurs but Rodgers would have got the best out of him here.

He was also shit at Fulham, they just played everything through him so he was bound to score goals with them.

Based on his work at Swansea. You only have to look at his work with Gylfi Sigurosson last season to see an example of that. At Spurs he hasn't even been half the player he was at Swansea.

Makes sense that comment, I think Dempesy and Sigurosson are not good hence that must mean I don't think any footballer is good.George wrote:Mr Arnold Durmmond wrote:He wasn't that good at Swansea either.

The only way Rodgers would have got the 'best' out of Dempsey would have been to play him behind Suarez and that brings you down to two players in midfield which goes against what Rodgers wants to do. He wasn't a fit.Scouser_Dave wrote:Theo Filippo wrote:Based on what?

Could have worked well alongside Suarez in the current 3-5-2 formation we are playing at the moment. Rodgers made him a target because he saw him as a 'fit' in his side.

Big story to break about us in tomorrow papers. Rory Smith reckons it's not good news either. Apparently Man City want Suarez.

That'll never happen. Even if it did, we'd get big bucks for it and it would be the final nail the coffin of Manchester United. City with Aguero, Suarez, Tevez, Balotelli and Dzeko ad their strike-force options is too good.

You can't field all of those players at the same time though.
Well you can, but those kind of lineups only work on FIFA.

I'd imagine that one or two of the current forwards would be on their way out if this was the case.

A strike-force of Aguero, Tevez and Suarez is better than anything else in the League right now.

I'm not even sure if that would even be seen unless it's the 80th minute and they're a goal down or whatever.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Suarez really is on fire at the moment. Joint top of the PL goals-scored chart along with RVP with 8 goals, plus he had a goal incorrectly disallowed, so he should be on 9, not 8. Also one of RVP's goals was a penalty.
Pretty impressive for someone who can't finish.

30 goals in 60 apperances for Uruguay aswell according to the commentator in that video Dave posted.
