I disagree, if you look at the team I posted then that does have technical players in. Young and Johnson on the wings both know how to get past a man. Gerrard still knows how to pass and shoot. When he had the ball, he hardly used it well. Gave it away countless times, saying that he wasn't the only one. We need a midfielder in there capable of getting stuck in and controlling the game. That's why Barry can fuck off, and why Carrick should be given another chance, Rodwell needs a debut, Lampsrd shouldn't be asked to play a defensive role at all.

And on Carroll and Crouch. They're good players, obvo Carroll is better, but we've got to stop going long towards then, especially as both are probably better with the ball at their feet
