No you can't, because you keep buying the newspapers, you keep reading the websites, you keep buying the shit that they sell you, regardless of whether it helps the national team.easley91 wrote:Why does everything have to happen the year of a tournament? Can't we have a build-up WITHOUT controversy and injuries for once?!

To be fair, John Terry has screwd up 2 tournaments with his antics now.

Has he bollocks, if it wasn't him, it would have been something else. 2002 Terry wasn't in the squad and it was all about how Sven Goran-Eriksson had cheated on his wife with a TV presenter, 2004 it was Sven being linked with the Chelsea job, 2006 it was Rooney's injury that was focused on, the media are always going to jump on something prior to a tournament and it'll invariably be negative because there is demand for it.
Also, it wasn't Terry in particular who screwed up the 2010 World Cup, England wouldn't have done any better if he'd retained the captaincy, or if Wayne Bridge had gone, England lost because of bad luck and inferior, egotistical players. Maybe if Gerrard wasn't captain he would have been more of a team player, but I doubt it. His antics certainly haven't screwed up Euro 2012, England could still win that competition.
I don't buy the newspapers.ResurrectionRooney wrote:No you can't, because you keep buying the newspapers, you keep reading the websites, you keep buying the shit that they sell you, regardless of whether it helps the national team.easley91 wrote:Why does everything have to happen the year of a tournament? The media just love stirring it up.
Can't see the FA sacking Capello. They couldn't afford to before, so I doubt they can now. Especially when he'll fuck off for free in July.

Contract breaches nullify contracts. He wouldn't get a pence.
No he wasn't.Lux wrote:Capello was right to voice his disagreement.

Especially not on TV in fucking Italy.
If he was going to voice his disagreement, he should have told his employers (the FA). They shouldn't have to find out through the Italian media.
