You've probably already seen this, but I just had to say smh, , , and at Postman Pat.
And good night

Ferdinand - Physical wreck, needs to retire or he's going to do himself serious damage
Ashley Cole - Shoots people, fucks slags, allegedly a homosexual.
Steven Gerrard - England captaincy has been marked by failure after failure after failure. England 1-4 Germany, who was the Captain? Gerrard. England 2-3 Croatia, who was the Captain? Gerrard. England 1-1 USA, who was the Captain? Gerrard. England 0-0 Algeria, who was the Captain? Gerrard. He's captained Liverpool to a massive amount of failure over the last 5 years as well. I don't know, maybe the job would suit him
Rooney - Lacks the temperament for it, also had a few indiscretions in his personal life
Lampard - Not captain of Chelsea, it would be very irregular for him to be Captain of England when he is subordinate to Terry in his day to day club life
Other than those people, no-one else is guaranteed a spot in the team when fit, and obviously none of them could be England captain. Terry is the only realistic option.

the problem is he already had terry as captain then as soon as something went wrong instead of sticking up for terry he threw him to the side and now he wants him back cause things have cooled down
awful management and in the process has embarrassed rio ferdinand clueless manager, he can never win anything with england
James ♠ wrote:I didn't agree with Gerrard being captain. He smacked a DJ, he dives, he uses elbows on the football pitch.
I think I was one who wanted Terry to lose captaincy, but I think now is the time to bring him back and give him a second chance. It is obvious on the football pitch he is the best captain we have.

Terry couldn't keep the captaincy under the circumstances. That would have sent out the wrong message, at least this way it has shown that you will be punished but if you change your ways (which there is no evidence to say he hasn't) then you will get second chances.
Ferdinand is proving he is about as much use as Ledley King.

and kicking your players to the side when going gets tough sends a great message?
rule 1 of management is, always protect your players
chelsea didnt punish terry...

That is Chelsea though, a club full of idiots.
England is a country, and i'm pretty sure it was better to punish him if anything to show the kids that this kind of behaviour isn't appropriate.
Can't help but remember you slating me for having some very negative opinions of Capello.dena wrote:Just a total cock up by Capello in handling this whole situation. Every second he stays in England he ruins his reputation more.

thats not really whats happening here as terry is back being captain
so all it showed was, be bad and you may get a punishment but in the end it will all be ok. what capello has done hasnt achieved anything, if anything he made it worse.
he either had to back terry from the beginning or punish him... he has now done neither

So is punishing someone and then seeing they have changed not worthy of giving him a second chance?
That's like saying anyone who goes to jail should never be let out. Anyone who tries to kill themself should be left to die.
Second chances are given in every part of life, why not football?

thats not the same...
we are talking about football and captaincy here, terry didnt get kicked out of the squad.... only then could have compared the two
using your analogy it will be like a business manager going to jail for fraud then when he is released he becames a business manager again. it doesnt happen
anyone care to back me up as this guy is seriously not getting it and its annoying. no one can say capello has handled this well, and if they do they are either chelsea fans or have no idea how things work
