I'm not interested in the wages. I just want to know the loan fee.

Not you in particular, it's just irritating me that some people are believing that we paid a loan fee of 10mill and that therefore we're suckers.

Liverpool might have went for him. Doesn't he support Sunderland?

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I wouldn't have minded him, seeing as we're trying to be Swansea (with added victories) the only glaring hole in the side is the lack of pace bar Sterling.

Apparently it's 5.2m including wages Mal, makes me laugh my mate is banging on about Wilshere being ten times the player. Not even back yet.

Adam Johnson would have hardly been a signing to shout about. Aside from the odd screamer he offers very little in games, a lazy, slightly more talented Downing.

Yeah, he supports Sunderland, they made a big thing about it when he scored for Man City against Sunderland a few years back

He's one of the quite a lot of players I bet regretted joining Man City. Regardless of the wages, I'm sure he would have loved to be playing regular football for Sunderland the past 2 years.

I dunno if I would be able to celebrate winning the title if I was a player who played hardly any games in the season.

Depends on the person doesn't it. Lukaku didn't enjoy winning the CL at all.

I'd probably be happy if I got a medal, and did Lukaku say that or what?

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Yeah, in an interview, he was pushing away the trophy on the team coach afterwards and stuff because he was irritated he didn't play a part. It's probably why he was loaned out, frustration at lack of game time.Cam wrote:I'd probably be happy if I got a medal, and did Lukaku say that or what?
It's kinda understandable as a pro footballer when you train day in day out with belief that you are or can be good enough, compared to your average person who would quite happily pick up a medal and a wage on the bench doing nothing all year

It'll be the same shit. No matter how mature he comes off in these interviews the hate will never stop. I feel so bad for him.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Yeah I've read it all. I read all these interviews and he always comes out as a nice guy who knows what he's talking about. What I'm saying is that the situation around him will most likely never change, once a bad guy, always a bad guy. Ronaldo, Drogba.. Both cut out their habits and still got huge amounts of stick.Cam wrote:Have you read it? He basically says that it's in the past now etc

He seems really humble.
I can't wait for deadline day, I have a feeling that we'll sign 1 or 2 players on deadline day.

Just seen a few from Liverpool fans saying £2 million and Times in brackets as a source.

Yes, you're training another teams player whilst being mugged off. I think it does matter if it's 10m altogether with no clause to buy

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Confirmed
http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/reds-agree-sahin-deal
Liverpool Football Club have reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign Nuri Sahin on a season-long loan deal, subject to the player passing a medical.
Sahin moved to Madrid last summer fresh from helping Borussia Dortmund secure the German championship and being named as the Bundesliga's Player of the Season.
The playmaker collected another league title winners' medal as the Spanish giants clinched La Liga in May.
Sahin has 31 caps for Turkey and became their youngest ever scorer when he netted on his debut against Germany in 2005, aged 17.
The 23-year-old will now undergo a medical on Merseyside.
