Apparently Barca want him to, and we don't want to sell to another Prem club.

I don't think he'll leave tbh, he seems like a really loyal player, but as you said, personally, I wouldn't begrudge him a move to City.

I'll just be pissed off if we don't replace him..

Mertesacker, Jones/Smalling, Cahill, Lescott, Dawson/Caulker/Gallas

Those are the teams that should/might finish ahead of you and all there 3rd choice CB's are better then Coates, you need a replacement imo

Should sign Sakho or Lovren or Yanga-Mbiwa or N'Koulou, or someone from Ligue 1, they have a lot of good CBs

Twitter says Agger himself is holding up the move, but is basically being pushed out.

Not a lot of goals left in this squad. We were horribly short of goals last year and we have sent packing Maxi Kuyt and soon Bellamy. We might score even fewer goals this year.

Caulker i'll give you, but Mertesacker is by quite a distance, Jones.. I think he's better, but meh.

When you look at that clown Luiz who starts for Chelsea I would easily say he's a better defender than him.

Meh, then we disagree. Luiz started poorly but improved eventually. Personally i've not seen anything of Coates that shows he's better then any of those yet.

Worried where the money will end up if we sell Agger.

We won't be able to buy anybody of his quality and no matter who we try to buy we will be held over the barrel with that club knowing we just got 20mill+.

Can't have Carra playing regularly in the league. Drastic change needed to get anywhere near 4th.

Regarding Agger, I get the impression that he's being forced out as £20+ million seems like an off we can't refuse.

I like him though

I dont want Agger to leave. The D was not the problem last year, it was one of the better in the league. The problem was scoring goals.
