Pussying out when I know they could only have got higher than 60k in London at Wembley? Right.

Re: Football at the 2012 Olympics
There will be games in which it looks like these big stadiums are the right way to go and others where it makes sense to keep them all in London, the key question is does the 6000 missed out from this game counteract the thousands of empty seats in the game(s) before?

Re: Football at the 2012 Olympics
Would they necessarily have got more from moving games from Coventry to Craven Cottage for example.
The only place in London they could have got over 60,000 was Wembley, probably not a bad decision to use the likes of Old Trafford and the Millenium then...
Plus, it doesn't help when you've got a shit team playing at St James' for example, it's never going to come close to being full. Seemed pretty busy for the Spain match though.

Frankly no. Maybe under another coach we could get a bronze but although Tena has been successful.(breezed through qualifying, won Pan American gold, won the ToulonTournament.) You just get the feeling that when things aren't gong well he's not the coach players want to turn to for help.Eternal Witcher wrote:Think you have a shot at this Che? Had a look because I could and you're not the most decorated of Olympians. Not a snub, this would then carry big significance.
Mexico has been doing well in youth competitions though. Won U-17 World cup, won pan American games, third place in the U-20's, won the Toulon tournament, and recently won the milk cup, so I'm a kinda optimistic for the future.
When I watch Mexico I don't really ever expect them to win, since they aren't a very winning team, in fact there are more failures than success with this team, I do however expect the players to put up a fight and try to entertain their very loyal and feverous fan base.

Emirates hold 60,000... I bet the IOC decided not to use it because Emirates refused to drop the name for the course of the games though.

No idea, but Spain have been embarrassing so far in the competition. Hope they finish last tbh, they're not as good as they think.

Bit late but that GB and Brazil women's match was very entertaining.
Also just noticed that my friend didn't get called up to GB.

I've got tickets to see the mens semi-finals. Didn't know that it was both games, well I think it is anyway, so looking forward to it. Hopefully GB will make it that far.

Mohamed Salah
He is currently the top scorer of the Olympics. Neymar who?
Brazil and Egypt advance to the quarterfinals.

Agreed. We'd get to stick it to the angry Brits on here yet again.
