A little over 19% of Egypt's representation at the London Olympics is the male football team. In 2008 Egypt won one bronze medal so clearly no one will care what the football team does.

I didn't say the Olympics wasn't important, I just said it wasn't the biggest event when it comes to football. I hope we all agree on that? I would like to see Egypt do well at the Olympics (mostly to assess our future), but I won't be losing sleep or devastated if we lose to say New Zealand.

Yes I agree that it's not the biggest (World Cup of course) but it's on the level in my opinion of the Euros and such, it deserves its respect and it deserves to be rated highly. I'm devastated that Australia missed out on the Olympics this year.
