Egyptian Olympians will be wearing authentic Nike products at the London Games as the renowned American company decided to donate its equipment for free.

Egypt’s Olympic team members have been subjected to an embarrassing debacle after discovering that the uniforms and equipment they have received are fake.

But Nike has decided to save the day for the beleaguered Egyptian delegation, a few hours before the opening ceremony of the big event.

“We are extremely happy that while these athletes are enjoying the greatest sporting event they will be able to wear genuine Nike product,” the US-based company said in a statement.

Egyptian officials revealed that Nike insisted on donating the gear for free despite being offered money.

Some absolute moron in her column in the Mail says GB would be better off without the Welsh/Scottish players because they didn't sing the fucking national anthem. She probably missed the part where Giggs set up Bellamy's goal.

Houghton smashes one in, GB 3-0 up vs Cameroon.

Pretty much a play off v Brazil to determine who tops the group on Tuesday I think.

They're allowed to not fast during the Olympics and make up for it afterwards- same for other athletes.

If I'm not mistaken, which I might be considering my knowledge of Islamic law mostly comes from high school religion class, a long voyage would excuse any Muslim from fasting until such a time when their voyage is complete. Or all together if the voyage in question exceeds the period of Ramadan. I believe traveling to London to compete in a highly demanding competition would classify as such a voyage?

Yeah, that excuses them from fasting during the trip, but they have been in London for a week or so.

Yeah, that excuses them from fasting during the trip, but they have been in London for a week or so.

From what I was led to believe the concession from traveling only ends if they are taking permanent residence in the area where they are traveling, or return home to their home city. Which would make staying in London for a short time as part of their voyage perfectly acceptable and not invalidate the concession?
