Castan is still a great player. but it's clear Marquinhos is the better player for Roma. Marquinhos/Castan are the starters for Roma now. they're first choice and second choice. they're benching Burdisso, who's making more money than both of them combined LOL

not anymore! he's ours now.
there was some sort of clause involved where if he played like 10 matches or something we would pay corinthians X amount of money and we own all rights to the player
Marquinhos officially became an AS Roma player as of the Torino match
thats why his wikipedia page no longer says loan

yes, he wasn't performing up to standard and was being outperformed by Bradley/Tachtsidis/Florenzi/Pjanic. i love DDR but he's still a player and still has to uphold certain performance standards. he slows our attack and looked out of place, so yes, he deserved to be benched. however, it's not entirely his fault since Zeman was playing him as a shuttler instead of a regista
usually, for some bizarre reason, Zeman plays Bradley as regista (Pirlo role) and DDR as the shuttler (Vidal role). but today vs Milan, Zeman switched it around and played DDR in the Pirlo role and he performed admirably, notching 2 assists to his name. hopefully Zeman will continue playing DDR in the middle from now on. it makes a lot more sense because DDR is more creative than Bradley
