You could argue Montolivo is a Pirlo replacement since they're kinda similar players.


But they got average defenders like Zapata and Acerbi to the other average ones like Yepes or Bonera. Mexes is the only good centre back they have now. Really don't understand why they didn't just get Yanga M'Biwa, he'd have solved their problem.

mbiwa would be too expensive. they got zapata cheap because of villarreal's relegation. and acerbi was cheap because he's from a cheap club (no offense chievo)

Whenever i've watched Mexes of late he's been poor, might just be me though but I think he's lost it.

M'Biwa would have been £5-10m, not too much I read, his contract might be running out but not sure.
