There was an editorial in the Liverpool Echo saying he's only doing it for the money. The arrogance of this football club never ceases to amaze me.

Well he is joing Tottenham, cant say anything about him as he never owed Liverpool anything and if he is going there because of getting more money i would also not blame him, but the way things have been going for Tottenham and Liverpool lately no one can blame him for choosing Tottenham over Liverpool, and he must also believe Tottenham have more chance of them and him being succesful in the future.

I thought that was basically asking the question, but if Liverpool were only offering him 50% of what Tottenham were could you blame him for going to Tottenham a team who have finished above Liverpool in recent seasons, and seem to be in a lot better position to move forward as a club with some of the players they have.

Well the article was a little more in the "Liverpool were right and are a great club with steel and unity (wtf), and Sigurdsson was just wrong" mould. I think you're right though, if you look at it objectively Spurs are willing to pay more, have better players in most positions, have an owner with substantial resources at his disposal and have done better than Liverpool for the past 3 seasons. Seems like a no brainer to be fair.

As a football decision and a cash decision, it seems like a total no brainer to me. Laughing Well if they honestly think that Sigurdsson was wrong they are on a different planet from me, Liverpool are a big club and have had an amazing history as we all know, but at the moment we need to just try and get back into the top 6 of the premiership and hopefully not to far off the top 4 and also prove we can be a really big club once again.

It asks the question, of course its going to be on liverpools side. Our paper does it aswell. It also asks the question about liverpool themselves so it wasnt what it was made out to be.

It couches extremely critical sentiment in token questions. Suggesting he should be grateful for what Liverpool offered and sign for them rather than moving to a Top 4 Club who are offering more money. It's insulting to the man to say things like this

So what does this tell us about the player?

That he cares more about money than what may be best for his career as a football?

Why is the Liverpool Echo conducting a psychological evaluation of another team's player anyway?

Not much to write about at the moment? They do also ask a question of themselves and their pull in terms of players although abit lighter than when they talk about the player but a bit of bias from a local paper is the case everywhere. Its not as bad as your reaction to it.

If we are intent on keeping, say, Skrtel or Agger, surely this responsibility could convince them to stay loyal to the club?
