The ball could have bounced awkwardly before he struck it, not the worst miss in fairness.

Piss off. Andriy's glorious locks were a majestic view to behold.

Fair enough if he hit it right after the ball left the ground, but he hit it when the ball was about to hit the ground. More than enough time to judge where the ball will meet your foot.
I'm not saying it's the worst miss, but a dodgy bounce is certainly not an excuse in this circumstance.

Well, he has done nothing wrong in his third stint here, and there are other far more poisonous members with which the council has to deal.Kuled wrote:He had his second chance months ago This is his third.Glen Damon wrote:The council agreed to give master Leo a second chance, and he has done everything in his power to adhere to their ultimatum. A shrewd move from the council. Leonardo has proved to be an excellent addition to the Liverpool contingent.

Shame, I like Martinez... Can't imagine feeling the same towards Liverpool as I did to Wigan though.

Meh, can't see us improving much from last season with Martinez.

Doubt we'll have £50 million. Plus, Martinez is used to looking for cheaper players. Surely he won't be very polished when it comes to buying bigger, more expensive players? Since he won't have been looking for them for such a long time.
Or does that not even matter?

Doesn't really matter he's not totally oblivious to good players.ScottyBoy_1989 wrote:Doubt we'll have £50 million. Plus, Martinez is used to looking for cheaper players. It would only make things easier. If you can spot a player, you can spot a player.
The question is can he attract the higher callibre player, and can he command their respect.

I'm not expecting much this summer. Maybe two or three average signings like Moses, but no-one big.

No. There's speculation that FSG weren't actually interested in anyone else. The approaches for other top managers were just posturing for the fans. Notice how Rafa hasn't been spoken to (it's thought that he would take the job in a heartbeat), talks stopped with Capello (when he it became apparant that he actually might be interested), same with AVB.
They basically wanted Martinez all along but wanted to give off the impression that they tried for more established managers.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Apart from Bosselli, he hasn't really bought anyone who has flopped, and to be fair, Bosselli's goal record was great, he also had Argentinian caps, so you can see why he bought him, he just never really settled in England, Martinez has hardly been given money at Wigan, but he's made the most of it, and not complained, and still kept them up season after season with the worst squad in the Premier League.Cadbury wrote:Rafael Benitez wrote:We will get top 4 if Martinez has 50m to spend. srs

Do you work for the club or something? you seem to know an awful lot about FSG and who they are going forCollieBuddz wrote:Eternal Witcher wrote:Is anyone else strongly suggested besides Martinez?
