HODGSON FOR ENGLAND

West Bromwich Albion have today granted permission for The FA to speak with Roy Hodgson regarding the position of England Manager.

This follows an approach from FA Chairman David Bernstein to West Bromwich Albion Chairman Jeremy Peace.

David Bernstein said: "I'm grateful to Jeremy and all at West Bromwich Albion for their co-operation in allowing us to approach Roy, who I have since spoken with.

"Roy is the only manager we have approached and we remain on course to make an appointment within the timescale we set-out soon after Fabio Capello's departure.

"Further conversations will now take place with Roy and my Club England colleagues before any further announcements can be made."

Greg Visone will be particularly delighted.

This is fucking fantastic.

Very underrated manager because of his Liverpool days, but I think the same will happen to him, he will find the pressure of such a big club (in this case, national team) with such great expectations that'll he will fail. Hope he does well though to shut the haters up. Roy

They haven't gotten permission to approach the most obvious choice yet, have they?

Not really sure how I feel about this, he's a great manager but I'm not sure he's good enough to be the England manager.

Gerrard not in the squad then? After all he did purposely miss the penalty against Blackburn in an attempt to get Hodgson sacked.

Hodgson has about as much chance of becoming England's manager as kyro has of hooking up a threesome with Ronaldo and Nani.

England have sacked one of the greatest managers in world football for Roy Hodgson. It all seems rather familiar doesn't it?

To be honest. This probably wont happen. West Brom have just given the FA the chance to speak to him about it. Doesn't mean that he will get it. They have a 'list' of managers.
That list consists of Harry and Roy most likely.
