jaq bauwer wrote:Poldi was a great add, but we need a LB and a CB - maybe Baines and Vertonghen. A new winger could be useful, promote Ryo to first team or sign Hoilett.
Selling Arshavin, Vela and Bendtner are enough to raise funds to snap Baines and Hoilett.
Until you change your signature, pardon me.. but shut the fuck up.

I don't really think Hoilett offers much more than Walcott, in all honesty. He'd do well at a midtable club, though.

What gets lost in the RVP contract situation is Walcott and Song's contracts. I really hope we get Song tied down before July. If we lose all three then I will really lose the last bit of hope I have.

I'm really worried about Song. Its been a few months now that Wenger said he'll negotiate a new contract with him. Nothing happened so I'm assuming he's considering his options, we won't be able to compete with what clubs like Bayern and City can offer.
Walcott will probably go to the club that offers him the most money sadly. He won't really be missed, apart from on fifa.
We really need a new left back, however there aren't many good realistic options out there.
We'll struggle to get someone as good as Clichy. Aly Sissoko might be possible, especially if Lyon don't qualify for the champions league.
RVP might stay another year, can't see him signing a new contract dow, what a bawbag

Anyway hopefully transfers go like this
Out
Walcott
Benayoun (if on low wages and cheap then keep)
Djourou
Failmunia
Diablo Santos
Denilson
Bendtner
Vela (for a good price)
Gervinho
In
Podolski
Belhanda
Couldn't really care about Per
So our attack next season would consist of van Persie (if he stays), Podolski, Miyaichi, Chamberlain and Belhanda (not really sure where he plays).
This man knows what he's talking about

Well some people were saying he plays on the wing but I've never seen him play so I'm not going to pretend to know anything about him.
Chamakh

When i look at our squad.. remember the type of owners we have.. and the mentality of Wenger. I honestly don't see many changes happening over the summer. [Just departures.]
Maybe some bench players for depth during cups, etc.. but the phrase, "Our squad is strong, if it wasn't for our early struggles we would be fighting for the title. We will fight for it next season as well with these players.", keeps popping up in my mind.

One thing is certain, you need to keep Van Persie. If you can hang onto him and manage to stay consistent all season then you obviously have a strong chance of challenging for the title.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
I'd want us to keep Djourou if we aint purchasing another Centre back and even if we do I won't be to fussed if he stays. Chamakh came on and looked decent, but that's the best of him, he's good with the 1 touch football, but keep him as far away as the goal as possible. Buying a new LB is essential, not because Gibbs is shit, but because of his injuries. If we're getting rid of Denilson, then it's only fair Ramsey heads off with him as well

Djourou, Vela, Andre Santos, Park; We need to sell these guys ASAP.
Personally, id like to keep Benayoun, only on a smallish wage though. Great player to add depth to the squad, wouldnt get too much game time back at Chelsea. Miyachi has gotten his taste of the EPL, could provide to be useful next season. Would like to see Chamberlain play alot more.
As for Mertesacker, Im not really sure, kinda on the fence whether to sell him or not.

What are the odds on Van Persie leaving then rupturing his cruciate ligament in his first game?

Looks pretty good but I would play Rosicky or Arteta instead of Chamberlain and play Chamberlain at RW.N wrote:
