Very direct as a winger, plays one-twos and moves into the channel of his strong foot, shoots across the keeper. Podolski is more suited as a striker and Walcott is more suited on the wing though.
I agree, that's why I prefer a better dribbler
We have our fair share of technically astute players, Chamberlain, Wilshere, Rosicky, van Persie, Gervinho even Song. We need a bit of direction with out attack or else we'll just pass it infront of teams all the time. That is why Walcott has been so good this year, he's been making those direct runs, that's why he gets involved in all of the action in terms of goals, we need someone to pick out.
Podolski will do what Walcott does but he'll do it better, that is why I am looking forward to seeing him play because if we deploy him on the left and Chamberlain/Gervinho on the right, it will give us a good balance to the side and give us the option to rotate, play Walcott and move Podolski upfront, van Persie can move into the hole, we can rest van Persie too.
But we shouldn't play Podolski on the left and Walcott on the right, would make us too direct but that would be an option maybe on away days
