I had to boycott those kits, though. I could not sanction using my supreme and powerful status in school to advocate an alcoholic drink.

    I did, actually. Very Happy

Nowadays, though, the novelty of buying a replica kit has worn off.

I only wear my football shirts around the house these days, or when i'm playing football in PE or just generally. If it's a plain shirt, like one you wouldn't obviously know was a football shirt I wear sometimes under a jumper or something shifty

It was probably quite good, but most of them were like passing back from the midfield to the defense.

Either that or it was shit

85% which is surprisingly high for all the 'bad passing' comments.

Lower in the final third though. From 488 passes only 167 were attempted in the final third, 114 of them completed.

Realistically, how much do you think Dalglish will be given this summer in terms of transfer funds and what positions do you believe should be prioritized for the acquisitions?

Maybe twenty million plus sales. Just a very rough guess.

A striker, a winger, a midfielder, and Luuk de Jong.

Apparently we're getting about 30 million to spend, but i'm not sure. I doubt the owners will give us as much money as last year.

Er, I think a striker is an obvious priority because our main weakness this year is that we've been completely crap in front of goal, and a striker that can link up with Suarez would be good. I'd say another winger or centre midfielder would be good as well, as when Lucas got injured, it really showed that we don't have great depth, but with Aquilani maybe coming back, it could be okay. I really hope we can keep him and actually play him this time, he can be quality for us if he actually gets game time, and if he wants to stay. I remember he was really good in preseason, but then we shipped him off to Milan.

Downing's lack of success is a manifestation of the team's general toothless nature. If he had a clinical forward, he wouldn't have such low confidence because the perfect crosses that he generally sends in each game would be tapped home.

What is different between what Kenny did, putting our weak side out, compared to what happened with Blackpool?

    We should get fined, surely?

Moneyball teaches you to spend big to reach a financial profitable situation as quickly as possible. In Premiership football that is a top four position, so unless you are in a top four position it should be safe to assume that your owners would "overspend" in order to reach that goal. Considering Moneyball seems to be the theory of choice of your owners, I would be surprised if you didn't spend a significant amount of money to improve the squad. Whether or not Dalglish will be given control of the purse-string is another question though.
