Adam Johnson isn't very good, he's a good impact player though.

He is also an alcoholic troublemaker. Just a guess.

I think Adam Johnson is very good and should have been on the England team over Downing and Milner

Pretty much. Centre back, backup for Yaya, possible back up creative player for Silva and possibly a winger to add width.
Obviously doesn't have to be all of those things, just some combination. Could fill some of them with cheap experienced players like we've had before (e.g. Pizarro, Vieira, Hargreaves) doesn't really matter.
Yous dont need to buy anyone, Yous have a decent winger in A.Johnson, yous have plenty of fucking players so fuck up.
Who the fuck are yous?

I would agree pretty much. He's really good when he's on form, but is too inconsistent. Of course he can still improve though.
The sort of player you'd think was phenomenal if you only watched MoTD and youtube highlights.

They will still have to qualify though.

Zamalek have accepted an offer from Serie A club Napoli to loan playmaker Shikabala, the Cairo club said on their website.
The Whites said that a lucrative €1.8million offer has been made for the beleaguered star midfielder, who was loan-listed by the club after falling out with manager Hassan Shehata.

Egidio Arevalo Rios to Palermo from Tijuana. One of the best defensive midfielders in the leauge, going to miss him.
Although, a Copa America winning, world cup veteren, Uruguayan international should never have been playing in a recently promoted team from Mexico to begin with.

Re: Summer Transfers Thread 2012
Vertonghen deal supposedly broken off with Tottenham. Apparently his agent got in a clause in his last Ajax contract that he should get paid 15% of the transfer fee, Ajax demands £10m at least so they need a £10+ 1,5m deal for it to go through. Hope Arsenal can swoop in, or if not then City may want to or Barcelona
It would be nice for Ajax if he stayed in theory, but i don't think we'd get enough out of a player who wanted to move so badly after what possibly is his peak season for our club, G VdW peaked 2 years ago and we are still not rid of him and i bet that our money people really regret that.

I wish we would just pay the man, worse English players get paid more then him I dont see why we are so scared to break the bank when we desperately need him

ViVaRooney wrote:cause you also need a striker and a winger

striker yes, winger, probably not.
Let's face it, we dont make many signings and most/all of them are low money, low risk signings of proven decent players like Parker, Pienaar, VDV, Friedel, etc. I say its about time to take a risk on a young, talented player who could be the future of our defense. I'm not saying to start making offers for people way out of our league but we need to play it smart. Vertonghen and Kaboul could be a defensive pairing for years instead of the indecisiveness we have now. What have we got to lose? We need to use what money we have on players we need, especially if we sell Modric for a nice chunk of change.
