I suppose they're getting him to replace Hazard, don't get me wrong he's a quality player but I don't think he's anywhere near Hazard's level. I still think he will do a pretty good job though.Fonseca wrote:http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1086729/sochaux?&cc=5739

Both Barcelona and Jordi Alba want a transfer deal before the Euro. Valencia ask 15M, Barcelona are willing to offer 8-11M. [as marca]

I know it's just a typo, but man "Cayabe" sounds funny out loud. Makes me feel so pompous and french

Goran Pandev to Napoli for £6.4 million is a done deal. Aly Cissokho is also seemingly on the way there; Lyon have placed a 11 million euro price tag on him.

Yeah but you said he's shit, which he isn't. Yes he lacks pace but he is very gifted and has a great footballing mind. He's like Berbatov.N wrote:Apparently not. 6.4 million.

Not really, Berba's footballing IQ is much higher, and his technique is up there with the very best.
Pandev has been average/below average ever since he left Lazio.

Question is, will he get in ahead of Hazard, Marin, Sturridge, etc..?

Well he's more of an actual attacking attacking mid, I was hoping he'd get sub appearances tbh

Can't see it happening next season, maybe the season after. I think he should go on loan to someone like Villa or Fulham.

Re: Summer Transfers Thread 2012
I imagine he'd be third choice for CAM. Hazard and Mata would obviously be preferred. The last thing they'd wanna do is upset him by not playing him.Fonseca wrote:Well he's more of an actual attacking attacking mid, I was hoping he'd get sub appearances tbh

Jackson Martinez to Porto for around 6.5 million pounds according to John Sutcliffe. Sutcliffe is pretty reliable when it comes to this kind of thing so I want to believe him.

Re: Summer Transfers Thread 2012
He was heavily rumored to be going to Liverpool but when Falcao left Porto it was said that Porto was looking for another striker to help fill the void. And they like signing South Americans on the cheap and especially like signing Colombians. So they probably just showed more interest.
I feel Liverpool really missed out to be honest. Jackson is a bit irregular at times but he's an incredibly versatile striker, strong, fast, tall, good header of the ball, good shot on him and can take on a man. He'd at least help create some chances and keep defenders busy while Andy Carroll looks to convert a sweaty goal. Wanted to see him with Liverpool so when he has a good game I'd be like, "called it."
Don't sweat it, you're going after Giobrandy Dos Trago now.
