I genuinely believe that he's good enough but it probably isn't going to happen.

He would start in United's midfield, that is for sure.

Not in their current 442 he wouldn't, as a central midfielder that is. As I said yesterday he's more of a #10 to me, don't think they'd change their system just to accomodate him, even though he's brilliant.

Three clubs have agreed a £7m fee for Jan Vertonghen according to his agent.

Tottenham and Arsenal being two of them.

Dis gon get nasty. Don't see why he should choose Spurs over us though, maybe no CL football for them and Vertonghen's best mate is already at Arsenal.

If he joins us he will probably play as a left back or next to Song.

Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Kos and Vertonghen are all first team player so I cant see them being used for rotation.

I don't really like Vertonghen but for £7m that would be a top signing. M'vila would cost more than 3 times as much.

    This.

It's up to him. I hope he'll do a good job as a utility player if we sign him, because that is what I see him as.

Vardy's would ruin his career by going to Leicester, he wouldn't get in their team and would just waste away in their reserves. He'd be better signing for a League One Team imo.

We've sort of been linked to him.

I wouldn't mind...he would get some games though not start every game.

Deeney + Vardy or Iwelumo or Garner.

You should let Garner come to us, he was a loan last year and I thought he was a very nice player.

He had quite a good goal ratio for you, but it just hasn't happened with us. His finishing really isn't good.....his only goal was literally a tap in. His work rate is good....and he is really good at getting free kicks by going down easily Laughing...but at this level it's about goals....don't think he's good enough yet.

Yeah he seemed to dive quite a lot and seemed to have a temper on him. But his work rate is phenomenal and his heading is great for a small guy.

Tis is true, however you have to take into account Dawson, Kaboul, King and Nelsen (probs gone next season). He has been offered more money at Spurs I believe and Newcastle is likely to be the 3rd club

Hoffenheim signed Tim Wiese (free transfer) and Derdiyok (undisclosed fee).

£7m for Vertonghen is a good deal. A couple of years ago, City paid £10 for Boateng and Spurs paid £8 for Bassong.

We sign 18 year old Chartlon keeper Conor Gough to a two year deal after he had a short trail period. Weird that he mentioned Harry Pell helped him make the decision.

Good move for Derdiyok, he had an inept player in the form of Kiessling ahead of him, Eren's much better than him. Has to be a starter for Hoffe. Fee was 4m Euros I think which is really cheap for a player of his quality.

We're definitely in for Matty Jarvis according to some, Stoke apparently leading the race to sign him.
