Lukasz Jutkiewicz wants to play for Poland

Guti is incredible, to be honest. I think his height is the reason he doesn't get called up for Mexico. He's quick, he's agressive, he's deceptively strong and has three lungs. It's fucking embarrassing his lack of call ups.

Juarez was 79 when he came to us. Now he's something like 70.

He was a strong 75 before returning to Celtic. Shows his valuation went down when leaving La Liga.

In reality he wasn't very good at Zaragoza but he wasn't the train wreck people make him out to be. He and Aguirre became the scapegoats of the team. Both are no longer with the team but are still getting ripped apart in the leauge.

Carlos Vela ripped that team a new asshole last weekend.

By the way, Juarez is training twice as hard as everyone else and putting more time in the gym than anyone else in hopes of getting Celtics attention. Read it in an article where he was interviewed. Everyone just laughed. Poor guy.

I've nothing against him but it's going to be very hard for him to get another chance when we have 4 right backs and 6 or 7 centre mids ahead of him. Never seemed to recover from the tranny incident although he was starting to lose his place by that point anyway.

I have to say Luis Suarez, your opinion that most Mexican teams would put Legia down 'like a dog' is probably true but I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply to Celtic. Santos Laguna (our feeder club) are top of the league right now and Marc Crosas is a guaranteed starter for them. The same Crosas who we punted last season because he was our fifth choice centre-mid. There's a few Mexicans on the Celtic forum I'm on and the consensus among them seems to be that Crosas is one of the best midfielders in the league. They seem to think that Celtic is a big step up from any of their teams.

You have a partnership with them, don't think they are your feeder club. The fact that Marc Crossas is even playing for Santos is probably because of that partnership and he was recommended by somebody.

Crossas is a good player, undeniably, he fits very well with Santos, but you can't use one or two examples and say that your leauge or your teams is better than any other team or any other leauge just because of those examples.(and even worse taking the opinion of biased Santos Laguna fans to heart)

Using that Santos Laguna is top of the leauge is also not that great of an example, unlike in Scotland the leauge in Mexico is very competitive. Last years top team Chivas a Copa Libertadores finalist is one of this years worst teams and before finding a bit of form had lost 5 games, tied 2 and won 0.



That's what a competitive leauge looks like. 6th placed Tijuana is 3 points from 1st and you know where they were last year? In the Second Division.

The only benefit for a player moving from Mexico to Scotland is exposure to a larger audience and maybe a stepping stone to a better leauge, like the PL or La Liga or the Dutch Leauge, France ect.

Celtic and Rangers wouldn't stand a chance in Mexican League. The quality is too high for Celtic and Rangers to cope with.

Fair enough if they're not a feeder club, that's how the media portrayed it over here.

I'm not saying we're better than any Mexican team but I think we would be competing for the title like you say. I was basically just responding to Luis Suarez' typically inaccurate assertions that we would be "put down like a dog." The guy has never even watched us play.

The guys on the forum aren't all Santos Laguna fans, I think there's a few UNAM Pumas fans too. As fans of both Celtic and Mexican clubs they have a pretty good idea of their respective quality and seem to agree that Celtic at the moment are a fair bit better than Pumas and Santos.

The Mexican league seems a lot more entertaining and competitive than the SPL with a lot of very good teams and some great players like Suazo and Benitez.
