A strange talent gap.
All the good youngsters were called for the Poland u-20 team which won against Germany 1-0 the other day, so the U-21 team was composed of even more shit players than usual.

Arguably, we already are on paper.James wrote:Poland will be in the top 20 in 10 years time.

Also, since this is a Poland thread...
Poles are fucking rioting over the decision to exclude the eagle and instead put in the PZPN logo on our new jersey.
We were all swearing at Nike for what they done to our kits, but then this news came out: http://sport.wp.pl/martykul.html?wid=13981919&&ticaid=1d61f
" Manufacturer of the Polish national costumes fight for eagle on the shirt! As he learned the fact, representatives of the Nike corporation for four months urged the authorities of the Polish Football Association, that the shirt was a national emblem. Unfortunately, to no avail.
After the presentation of new red and white tights throughout the country swept huge wave of criticism. - The persons responsible for this decision are the activists of the compound, since they show the producer what you want the logo on uniforms. That is a contract between the company constructed a federation. We could only give its opinion on the draft, the final decision belonged to the representatives of the Polish Football Association. Presidents tried to explain that the outfit without the eagle can be received very negatively by fans. Unfortunately, nobody wanted to listen to us, and now everyone can see how the whole thing was over - tells us a person connected with the company Nike.
These words were confirmed in an interview with the portal weszlo.com representative of an American company, Maciej Lasoń. - We present the projects they accept, but the general assumption is that Nike as a sponsor is responsible for making sure that it was prepared from the technical side. Together with the federation responsible for how the colors are selected. The last thing is all kinds of prints, logos, emblems, etc., which are located on a shirt. That decision belongs to the compound - Lasoń explained.
"
So now, I'm not sure what will happen. Shit will happen most likely. Following the release of this information, parties are already moving to get Lato sacked as president of the PZPN. Some people are predicting we will have the eagle back on the kit by the end of the year, whether Lato stays in power or not.
If this is not the case though, I would predict that Polish fans will spend the entire EURO2012 trying to get international attention for the corruption of the PZPN and force the PZPN to step down, which would of course mean things will get very very messy very very fast.

Strange that the better players were the ones that were choosen to take part in a friendly rather than the actual qualifier. You also end up with some strange results for the youth sides, a few examples also from today. Netherlands U21 1-2 Scotland U21 Albania U21 2-2 Portugal U21

TBF, they were probably expecting to beat Moldova with a second string U21 team anyway.

Who's this guy? Poland is a joke, their U-21 losing to Moldova a country that is rapidly losing it's population. No excuses, I would be very critical about that.

The next generation will be good. Zyro, Kucharczyk, Borysiuk, Wolski, Czekaj, Cyzio, Janicki, Pawlowski, Krychowiak, Kupisz etc.
Most of our first team honestly won't be playing for Poland in 2-3 years time with these guys coming up. This result against Moldova doesn't change that.

Polish fans protesting match against Hungary. Very very little fans showed up to the game while hundreds are protesting outside the stadium.

Looks like the PZPN have buckled into the pressure. Many sources are saying that they will put the Orzel back on the kit, put the PZPN logo on the arm, and refund anyone who has already bought the shirts.

I had an exchange student in my speech class from Moldova. Apparently he was some kind of big time dancing star over there. Took him to a American Football match, was like "WTF is going on" the whole time.
Anyway..............
Its a friendly. Results mean NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
