Lets mix it up. Lets make it a ferocious foursome of mediocrity.

Mexican League is obviously the best out of them all.Ché Guayaba wrote:Lets mix it up. Lets make it a ferocious foursome of mediocrity.

I don't know about Ekstraklasa vs MLS vs Old Firm.
MLS is rich on one hand, don't know if that wealth translated to any decent football though. Whatever it is, it trumps the SPL mediocrity.
Old Firm is another story though. But even they at the moment are really shit. Don't know really. As for Ekstraklasa, Legia Warszawa is probably the best team of all three leagues, but Wisla and Lech are through transition at the moment and need investment. So after Legia, it's a toss up between the MLS best and the Old Firm.
Then again, I've not watched an MLS game since the one TFC match a few years back.

Sorry, outside of Ahly and Zamalek, your league is shit. The way I see it, all the other notable clubs are feeders to those two, and outside of those 'notable' clubs, there are just random clubs ran by mining companies, military or police.ahlycotc wrote:Ché Guayaba wrote:Lets mix it up. That's changed. The league is more competitive now. It's like La Liga. Ahly and Zamalek are miles ahead of the rest of the league. However lately, the gap has been decreasing. Zamalek are starting to get closer to Ahly and other clubs are starting to get closer to Zamalek. The league is actually becoming quite competitive now. This season has been the most competitive of all so far. Unfortunate that it got cancelled though halfway through the season.
And it was true that all other clubs acted as feeder clubs to Ahly and Zamalek. But that has changed as well. These corporate clubs have been able to hold onto their star players better much to the frustration of Ahly and Zamalek. If you look at the National Team and the U20 team, you will see more stars and players from other clubs now. Out of the top 4 or so players in the U20 team, only 1 plays for the top 2 clubs.

It's like a free for all in here with all the shit leagues battling it out to be crowned the least shit.

I think Monterrey and Tigres could probably take on Legia.
Monterrey has a very impressive striker force. Huberto Suazo, Aldo de Nigris, Nery Cardozo and Cesar Delgado. Plus Walter Ayovi, and Angel Reyna on the bench. Man, they shouldn't be allowed to play in this leauge to be honest. It's almost not even fair. I ask myself how they don't just run away with the leauge every year.

According to Heynckes, Bayern Munich's manager, Ahly are a UEFA Champions League quality side.

Then it would be fair. The last two players who scored were both 17 years old.

We beat you 5-0 a few years back, when you were named the best African side.

He would be a starter for any SPL team.
He's a good Championship player.....he's a young player with a pretty decent goal record....let's not forget that he was at Coventry, a struggling team. He pretty much was their best player....and it's not just goal poaching Polska, he can score any kind of goal......got a few bangers against us
Obviously for him.......he needs to work on his consistency, and he's not played at the highest level either....so lots of room to improve. I wouldn't put him off playing for Poland, as he's not likely to ever get a look in for England......and although he might not be ready to start for Poland at the moment......he's probably got enough potential to feature in the squad and work his way into the team.

Why are you taking that bullshit he says about Legia being the best team seriously? The truth is that Suarez knows nothing about the Old Firm, MLS or Mexican football. Celtic are far, far superior to any Polish team. We could also have any Polish league player we wanted provided there were no other teams interested.

Yet he was in the SPL and rather average.

Lay off the crack pipe mate. Jutkiewicz is nothing special in the SPL as he showed with Motherwell. Even Brozek, our fourth choice, is probably better than him. Bangura cost more than him and he's our fifth choice. Hell, we spent more on Daryl Murphy and he's on loan to another shitty Championship team.

I've watched nearly every Legia game this since they got in the group stage. I know their level.
@Che, I said Legia was the best team of the remaining 3, some Mexican teams could probably put down Legia like a dog. TBF, Mexican Liga is miles better than the other 3 leagues.

Efrain Juarez was one of the Mexican league's best players. We bought him in 2010 for 3.5 mill and now he's rotting in the reserves.
