You can try and devalue it all you want, at the end of the day we won because we were the better side.

Let's be serious, you won because their penalties were terrible, being the better side had fuck all to do with it.

Wow, Greg can see into the future. eek

According to him this is only 2011, so that means that the Carling Cup must not have happened yet. Surprised

Arguably, but that's not the reason you won. It must feel a bit embarrassing winning a trophy like that, as I say, I felt guilty winning it in 2009 and 2010.

On the number of chances and attacking effort we deserved to lift that trophy. Given our run without a trophy I would have been happy whatever way we won that trophy on Sunday. As I said a win is a win however it comes in football.

Thats correct, you were not good enough to even take Crystal Palace to a penalty shoot out. What a Face And United did lose the League cup final in 1991 to Sheffield Wednesday who were in the division below them, So these things can happen.

It's funny how bitter fans of other clubs get about us winning trophies. 2005 was a fluke, 2006 was lucky and now 2012 was embarrassing Laughing Eventually they will run out of excuses.

Many excuses left, so just keep winning that Carling Cup Trophy! Razz If you also decide to take FA and others maybe they'll run out faster.

Sheffield Wednesday finished 3rd in the league in 1991, behind Leeds and Manchester United scratch

I feel dumb right now but I still don't get it. What did he sign? Is it sign, as in, his signature? Or what? Neutral 'cause I don't get it if it means he wrote his signature on a fake interview.

Barca's Keita 'flattered' by Liverpool link

Seydou Keita claims no decision has been taken over his future at Barcelona, but admits to being flattered by reports linking him to Liverpool.

The Mali international is under contract at Camp Nou until 2014, but faces fierce competition for places in Catalunya.

He remains an important figure in Pep Guardiola's plans and has been a regular throughout his three years with Barca.

It has, however, been suggested that he could be on his way out of the club this summer, with there no shortage of willing takers waiting in the wings.

Keita admits the time may have come for a fresh start to be made, with a new challenge holding considerable appeal.

He considers Liverpool to be one of the few clubs that could match his ambition, but he is keen to point out that no switch to the Premier League has been put in place.

"I am flattered by the interest of Liverpool Football Club, one of the biggest clubs in the world," said the 32-year-old midfielder.

"However, let's wait until the end of the season with Barcelona and see what happens.

"I love Barcelona and it is difficult to find a better team than them, but I am ambitious and want to play football week in, week out.

"A challenge somewhere else is attractive to me and Liverpool are a top team with very good players."
