"I am flattered by the interest of Liverpool Football Club, one of the biggest clubs in the world," said the 32-year-old midfielder.

"However, let's wait until the end of the season with Barcelona and see what happens.

"I love Barcelona and it is difficult to find a better team than them, but I am ambitious and want to play football week in, week out.

"A challenge somewhere else is attractive to me and Liverpool are a top team with very good players."

    Keita.

You never know Dean. Warrior could come out with some extremely decent looking gear. Although I have to admit, the Adidas clothing looks really good at the moment.

. It turns out that Liverpool's Rumbelows Cup win on Sunday wasn't just a nice day out in London and a chance to equal the heady heights of Birmingham City's 2010-11 season. No, instead it was part of something called The Project. "A lot players I know are very interested about joining The Project because it's a very interesting Project," Comolli says in today's Mirror. "We already know that there are big players who want to join us next summer because they believe in The Project."

Oh Damien. Top players such as Shawcross, Mark Noble and Cattermole.

@Jord- well that's what I'm saying. I'm hoping Warrior do, but just the brand name itself could put people off. I've spoken to a few lads, and they've said to me, they won't buy Warrior clothing. Where as they would of bought the Nike stuff. As it's a worldwide known brand.

@Kyro- I'm the same. I don't buy club merchandise, clothes wise anyway. But a lot of people do, and do so 'cos of the brand. I've seen many people in here posting clothes they've bought out of the club store. So it'd be probably best to get their views on it. I know Dave has got t-shirts and polos that he's bought from the club store and I think Cam has bought stuff.

So it'd be interesting to go their view on it.

Keita doesn't really seem to fit the FSG mold. He's 32. Having said that he's hardly going to be getting more time in the Barca side.

Dean wrote:Jordan- slightly naive view to take I think. It can't just be about money up front, what about sales? I'm not talking about the kits, I'm talking more about the general clothes that the clubs sell. Liverpool have got some great clothing now...mainly due to Adidas. You see the Adidas jumpers and polo's and they're really nice. Would you wear one? High chances are you would.

Are you gunna' wear Warrior clothing? That's my only worry.

Anyway as the story goes, prior to the Warrior deal. We were locked in talks with Nike for a long time, over them becoming our sponsor. They approached us, as they wanted to expand the brand more on Meseyside, as Nike is very popular here. Was told they offered us a very lucrative deal too and we still turned them away as Warrior blew everyone out the water.

    Just hoping it pays off.

Probably some bullshit story from one of your itk mates, am I right?

Keita would be a fantastic signing. Cheap, good, and able to cover most of the midfield.

I read an article yesterday in a daily newspaper which said that while the record books may show that Liverpool won on Sunday, deep in their hearts, everyone involved knew that when you get to the stage of a penalty shootout against Cardiff in the Carling Cup, there can be no victory, only degrees of defeat. I have to say it struck a chord with me, when we won our last two Carling Cups our players celebrated them appropriately for a club of our size, but my overriding emotion was not one of joy, it was one of guilt, because the trophy would have meant so much more to the opposition.

Are there any decent people here who felt the same on Sunday?

How many times have United scraped the barrel for results? Wasn't there a season where you had like 9 or 10 own goals go in your favour? Didn't hear you lot complaining about how that didn't feel like a victory then.

What do you mean by 'scraped the barrel' ? I can't remember us ever going to penalties against a Championship side with our full strength team out, I'd be very embarrassed at that, win or lose, it certainly wouldn't feel like a victory.

You can try and devalue it all you want, at the end of the day we won because we were the better side.
