Something like that. Depending on whether Chamberlain plays in the friendlies put him in over Young if he does well enough. Left out Wilshere and Rooney as Wilshere is injured and we don't know if he'll be fit enough to go and Rooney is banned for the 1st few matches. I'm sure someone will have a pop because I picked Dawson over the likes of Cahill and co. but he's a quality CB that people always seem to overlook. Rodwell looked good in the Sweden and Spain games driving from deep so wouldn't mind him playing beside a more defensive player like Parker again to screen the back 4.

Kelly over Richards, who is in my opinion the second best right back in the league.
Johnson at left back, if you put him at right back I can understand, he's very good going forward, but Cashley would have the nod over him.
Henderson, he isn't anywhere near the England starting 11, Parker is ten times the player and infinitely better as a leader,not to mention the likes of Lampard, Barry and Carrick, Cleverley is even a better player.
Carroll, worst transfer ever, large lump that has nothing but size and he doesn't even know how to use it. Welbeck is better, Zamora is better, Bent is better, even Gabby fucking Agbonlahor is better.
But nothing compares to Downing's inclusion, he has zero assists this year, nada, zilch, he's such an average player, England have many better wingers, Young, Johnson, Chamberlain, Walcott, Dyer.

Personally, I wouldn't, Wilshere at the moment is the better player and he's suit the team better, but being realistic one of the 'Golden Generation' would have be be in the line up or else England would fall into mass frenzy, riots will occur, especially in Liverpool because have no Liverpool player in the line up will not sit well with your typical deluded scouser. So I put Gerrard in to avoid having my head on a pole.

If it where up to me and scousers didn't exists I'd try and force in as many United players in the line up and add a few of Arsenal's most creative with City's defence.
United have a fair few good English talent in Rooney, Welbeck, Jones, Smalling and Young, they would have good chemistry together, like what the German national team does with Bayern players, and the likes of Wilshere and Chamberlain from Arsenal would add a lot of creativity and would naturally work well with Rooney. City have 2 great defenders in Richards and Lescott.
I think the most important thing is to get the best out of Rooney, having players he's familiar with and players who are just as technically astute as him will definitely help in doing so.
