    England are shit
It would be moronic to start Cahill with Dawson when Ledley King is better and already plays with him.
I said Cahill and Dawson because someone posted that above, i would personally go with Ferdinand and Lescott

    England are shit

    Population of each country

    England - 51m
    Spain - 46m
    Germany - 82m
    France - 65m
    Brazil - 192m

No wonder we have worse players than these countries. Spain are just going through their golden generation right now and in 15 years time they'll be flopping in tournaments again, just like before.

    Poor logic

    Netherlands- 16m

Not really an excuse, 51m is a big enough population, its not like you're Ireland or something

King could play half the games and still be worthwhile.

That's the point of a squad.....you'll never use 23 players otherwise.

Well he can barely play consecutive weeks in the league, in an international tournament theres alot of games in a short space of time.

You can't have Smalling and Terry for obvious reasons, so maybe it will be Cahill alongside Smalling or Terry.

We've all seen Smalling play, no one wants that wandering giraffe starting.

It isn't poor logic. Of course countries with bigger populations and have football as their main sport are going to produce better players overall.

Holland are overrated, they fluked to the World Cup final.

If he's fit he should start though. Then when he goes off injured we can bring Terry/Rio off the bench.

    Preferably Terry for me.

I think you need a solid CB partnership though, without one in and one out every few games.

England have a better goalkeeper and defence than Holland. The only plays Holland have that are better than England's in the same position are Robben, Sneijder and possibly Van Persie.

Not trolling. I'd rather take Rooney if I could only have one of them on the basis he offers more to the team, works harder and is less likely to get injured. They are pretty equal otherwise.

Fight me if you want, i'm known to not overrate English players. Just outside a few players, Holland are a much poorer team.

Terry will start and in the group opener against France, he'll be on his arse about 4 times with Ribery, Nasri, Remy, Benzema, Menez or whoever dribbling at him. Ferdinand's at least got the pace and strength to back himself up. I don't support England, but I think the starting partnership should be King and Smalling, but it'll be Terry and Cahill John Terry or Rio Ferdinand - Page 2 58503

Holland will shit all over your country tbh, you may claim you have better defenders, but they're just big names who can't perform as usual. No English midfielder would get into the Holland midfield apart from Wilshere and Gerrard. You'll see this when they come to Wembley and rip shit up.
