That was what the director of chealsea asked her to take into consideration. The actual reason did not just relate to Chelsea players.

It's pretty absurd that you can be charged with a crime for something like that. Maybe it warrants a civil claim by the victim but a criminal charge is ridiculous.

England doesn't have freedom of speech?

So what's the difference in arresting me for saying a racist joke or arresting me if I say "I dont like the government in England"?

Slippery slope that, arresting people for facebook comments.

Don't get people saying that Terry shouldn't go to the Euro's. Firstly, that's ridiculous. Even if he was found guilty would he still go to the Euro's anyway? Do people expect Suarez to be taken out of his national team? But most importantly...innocent until proven guilty.

Secondly...who are they? Why is Jason Roberts amongst other random people who know nothing about the case or what happened even getting involved? Their opinion is worth nothing.

You do realise that the people calling for Terry to be axed are two or three of the English FA's most influential supporters right?

Them having more influence doesn't mean they know more.

Terry is innocent until proven guilty. The case was brought back for valid reasons. If anything, it would be disgraceful and unjust to axe Terry.

I think the real issue here, is the fact that this has been subject to criminal prosecution. Which from a basic understanding of what he is alleged to have said, is pathetic.

Jason Roberts is a black man and the leader of the campaign to kick racism out of football, it is normal that he is against people who probably dished out racist abuse.

I understand your reasons, but politics are not just, and this case is all about politics. The England captaincy is all about politics. It would be bad for the FA to maintain Terry as captain if he is shown to be guilty of racism, that would reflect poorly on them. Bad politics basically.

Racism is civil disobedience by the letter of the law. I don't see the problem with it being taken to court.

Kick racism out of football is supposed to be about being against racism, not assuming people are racist and backing up minorities because they are minorities.

I'm not even siding with Terry, from what I've seen (which on behalf of everyone in the general public is not really enough to say either way for sure) he probably is guilty...but that's beside the point.

Specifically it's against racist behaviour, which is what Suarez has been found guilty of and what Terry is facing a criminal prosecution over. It's not beside the point whether he did it or not, not at all.

Kick racism out of football is a hypocritical and flawed organisation. Preaching a rhetoric of education and rational morales, whilst imploring criminal sanctions....
