Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
According to Wenger we held back signing a midfielder in January because Abou Diaby is due back soon. Interesting stat posted by Orbinho on twitter: 'Abou Diaby has played in just 10 of Arsenal's last 53 Premier League games. They won just three of those 10'. Why the fuck are we relying on a player who plays in around 20% of our games and has a 30% win ratio while in the team?

There's absolutely no correlation between that fact and our chances tomorrow.

What? Confidence accumulated from over five or six months ago? What do you mean pressure?

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
If we had smashed Blackburn 3-0 at their place then the players would be more confident to beat Blackburn. They beat us 4-3 so obviously there is more pressure to grab points off them and less confidence because they already beat us this season.BladeGunner wrote:Chris wrote:

If you can't understand that you must have a mental problem.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
The team is under massive pressure not to get the double done on them by Blackburn. 6 points we should have easily got. 6 points which could mean the difference between 4th and 6th. And after all we're a team full of bottlers so yeah..

One could easily argue that if we had beaten them with ease in the other game, then we would go into this one being complacent. There's also no additional pressure on us to win this game because we lost the other one. A team of Arsenal's stature coming up against a team like Blackburn will always set out to get three points, regardless of whether they'd won or lost the reverse fixture six months ago. There's no way of proving what you're saying anyway.

"One supporters’ group is urging their fellow Gooners to put black bin liners over empty red seats at the Emirates during Saturday's match against Blackburn to highlight falling attendances."
