Tbh, he's probably not gonna stop scoring and settling up a mental amount of goals, so if Barca win the title and or/ the CL, he's got it.

Seriously think if Real had won at least 1 of them, Ronaldo would have been in with a bigger shout. And I'm a bias cunt who wants to see him win stuff. shifty

He has a good chance. Barca need to win more titles than Real though.

Right, so you're saying he can only perform as he does with phenomenal players around him?

He still performs for Argentina, but not as well with Barca. That's normal. Any player would play better with people like Xavi and Iniesta around them. Ronaldo doesn't perform as well with Portugal either.

Exactly, any player would play better, but they don't get the chance to. Messi's seen as better because of the phenomenal statistics, because of the stages that he constantly plays and usually delivers on, but he gets far more opportunity than any other player to showcase his ability.

But you are going into hypotheticals. As far as the world knows, Messi is currently the best player in the world. Who knows, maybe I can be an amazing player with the support of Xavi and Iniesta.

Yes, 'as far as the world knows', but a lot of people believing something doesn't make it true.

    Are you serious? facepalm

Determining who the best player in the world is a subjective matter. You can't measure something like that with facts.

I've never said anything different, but there's not much point in discussing who the best player in the world is if all it comes down to is who is the best player according to what most people think.

Why not? Just because you deal in absolutes doesnt mean everyone does? Should we not discuss which movies are the best or TV shows?

It's subjective, but you can still share your views with others and debate. It's impossible to determine the best player in the world in any other way.
