Na it's understandable. I'd be the same way if we signed Balotelli.

Except Manchester United were also after his services and he still opted for Manchester City...
And where are Manchester Uniteds problems? In the centre of midfield...Sean wrote:BladeGunner wrote:

And who's top of the league?

And?
Man City and United both had a pretty reasonable chance of success and City most likely offered him more money, whats wrong with taking City's offer

As if Samir Nasri knew that Manchester City would be doing better than Manchester United. Manchester United were the champions of England and the runners up in the Champions League. Not to mention, he's a bench-warmer now for Manchester City. He'd be a starter at either Manchester United or Arsenal.
Now you're speculating.BladeGunner wrote:SBSP wrote:
Probably after they were put off by his ridiculous wage demands. I don't know for sure.
All I'm saying is look at it this way. Take off Nasris 9 assists in the league for City (I think it's 9) and however many he's scored and then give that to United, plus more as Nasri would be starting more regularly and United are definitely on better form than currently. What's wrong with taking Citys offer is it seems evident it was influenced by money. Only real thing City had over United, apart from the likelihood City will continue to strengthen.Sean wrote:jonnyc23 wrote:And where are Manchester Uniteds problems? In the centre of midfield...

I thought it was Wenger who ruled out any chance of him going there.SBSP wrote:SBSP wrote:Didn't Man Utd back out of it though?

Id say alot of people predicted City to do well, they had already bought Aguero by this stage and they had a quality squad. Also Nasri wasnt to know he's end up on the bench, most people thought he's be a starter.
I think we agreed terms with Nasri, then City put a bigger bid towards Arsenal for him.SBSP wrote:SBSP wrote:Didn't Man Utd back out of it though?

At the expense of first team football and fully developing as a player.Sean wrote:BladeGunner wrote:

So most people knew Manchester City would do better than Manchester United, but they didn't know that Samir Nasri would be thrown on the bench? Don't think we've been hanging out with the same people.

Well alot of people on the forum where posting formations with Nasri in the team and stuff when he signed. I mean who thought they would bother spend all that money and wages on a player to sit on the bench?
Maybe not better than United, but certainly to challenge them, its not like he went to Russia or America just for money or anything, City were had a great squad by the time he joined.

This is the same team that has spent extortionate amounts on Jo, Santa Cruz and Kolarov. A team that is paying 200,000 a week for a player who is practically living in another country. Anyone in their right mind would have put it down as plausible that he'd be thrown on the bench.

Yeah but they don't start because they're all shit. Kolarov was bought to start but his shitness forced the issue, Jo was bought to start by Thaksin because he's a mad cunt and Santa Cruz was bought because Hughes had some sort of fetish for him. The Tevez one is a whole different issue, he'd probably still be starting today had he not wanted to leave.

I just mean that money is no object with Manchester City. Bad decisions have been made in the past, there was some likelihood that Nasri would be on the end of yet another one of these poor decisions. He would have been a starter at Manchester United, almost no doubt about it.

They definitely need Glen Johnson. Capello has noticed he is better than Richards, the rest of the world aren't so smart though,InGlennyWeTrust wrote:Any other sane team would have shipped these players out by now, and gotten quality cheap players like Downing and Henderson to boost their squad.
