I was just trying to rile one of you bitches up. I'm sure Arsenal is a big club to some people.

I wasn't lying though, don't watch Arsenal much, mostly watch United, sometimes City and occasionally Chelsea, the last one not so much because I've watched a few games this season and they kinda bore me, always bored me a bit actually.

I've always had that doubt in my mind, I've seen him play a few times(more like highlights actually) but I couldn't remember seeing him ever score a header and it's been bugging me for ages. This doubt in my mind is made more apparent when I play FIFA and I can never use him effectively, I can only score long and mid range shots with him. Usually sub him and hoof it up to the big man Kuyt.

This brings me back to something else, tall players who aren't particularly good with their heads, they might win a lot of headers because they are freakishly tall but don't convert too many headers. Which makes me think of the opposite, players on the smaller side but that are quite effective when it comes to headers.(i.e. Hernandez and Miguel Sabah.)
I wouldn't say he's good with his heading. Average for a striker but his intelligence is what wins him alot of headers around the pitch. He's made quite alot of defensive headers this year Lukas Podolski - if he joins Arsenal. - Page 4 914411

If you want one of the greatest strike force, you need two forwards that compliment each other. Having identical forwards isn't always the best thing.
Rooney and Tevez were pretty similar. shifty

Yeah, I noticed this too. He's become somewhat essential in the way the team defends set-pieces.

Heh, I remember clearly the game where Fabianski yanks Van Persie's collar during a corner, and seconds later he clears the ball with his head. Laughing not worthy

There was an interview not long ago where Robin was saying he has been working really hard on his heading and he really wants to score more headers. He's done quite well with headers recently, getting them close to on target and what not, just not beating the keeper. There was one against Wolves I think where he was jumping backwards but still managed to direct it towards goal, was about a foot or two wide of the goal.

Was against QPR I think. He's not bad with heading, it's just with the way we play and the fact that he's on his own upfront, he doesn't get the chance to win many headers. And he normally takes most of the set pieces himself, so doesn't get a chance from those either. But when we're defending he's normally quite active when it comes to defensive heading.

Ahk, Yeah I was going to say QPR or Wolves but I watched the QPR highlights were on tv in the background earlier and I could've sworn I didn't see it, so thought it must've been against Wolves. Yeah he actually gets to a lot of defensive headers.

Really makes me fucking angry at Mertesacker. Hardly has to jump, but still loses out on way too many headers

Myth, recently he has been our best player behind Koscielny in the air. He used to be shit but he has really improved

I'd imagine Henry will be used as a squad player instead of a regular starter.

    This lineup:

    Song - Arteta

    Wilshere

    Walcott ------------ Podolski
    van Persie
