So a player who laughs at Hillsborough memorial service should be gotten rid of but a guilty racist is fine to stay? Doesn't make much sense.

What evidence 'could' the FA have then? Let's change the question... possibilities? I can't think of any. Your turn.

Why try and cause an argument? Why try pulling off a little sarcastic comment when all I did was reply to a post using part of the clubs statement to add onto a claim?Danny wrote:Why bring it up then when it doesn't prove anything?Jord wrote:Danny piss off you shit stain! You know I didn't say that, I'm going off what the club statement has already mentioned. You have to have a go don't you? Do one
You know I'm not even part of this thread, this is what? My third post?

Re: Suarez banned for eight games.
Luis himself is of a mixed race family background as his grandfather was black. He has been personally involved since the 2010 World Cup in a charitable project which uses sport to encourage solidarity amongst people of different backgrounds with the central theme that the colour of a person's skin does not matter; they can all play together as a team.Jay wrote:Danny wrote:Didn't say it was.
Go back a few pages you moron.
All you've said over the past 5 pages is "They want Evra banned", that's hardly a good reason why the statement is shit.
He has played with black players and mixed with their families whilst with the Uruguay national side and was Captain at Ajax Amsterdam of a team with a proud multi-cultural profile, many of whom became good friends.
It seems incredible to us that a player of mixed heritage should be accused and found guilty in the way he has based on the evidence presented. We do not recognise the way in which Luis Suarez has been characterised.
We would also like to know when the FA intend to charge Patrice Evra with making abusive remarks to an opponent after he admitted himself in his evidence to insulting Luis Suarez in Spanish in the most objectionable of terms. Luis, to his credit, actually told the FA he had not heard the insult.
What a load of crap.

8 matches for 1 racist term? With all the different cultures in the EPL terms are thrown about here and there if Evra had a problem he should've talked to Suarez about it instead of all this ridiculousness. Its a private issue between two men.
Roy Keane got less then 8 games that when he broke a mans leg.
absurd.
Suarez used the term 10 times, Roy Keane has never broken anyone's leg, and he got 8 games for his foul of Alf Inge Haaland in 2001.

Yeah, because saying stuff like Suarez has friends who are black really fucking prove he can't have said a racist term to Evra. Really, what use does that have?
And the last paragraph is an absolute joke, could it be any more petty?

what evidence do you need?Dean wrote:Still haven't seen anyone put any evidence forward... surprise surprise.
Suárez basically admitted that he used 'negrito', it was up to the FA how to judge it.
Yeah I know that but he should know that it doesn't work like that in England and that people will be offended.polska. wrote:Spanish language doesn't work the same way as inGegilworld93 wrote:

English. Yes it sounds racist if you translate it, but your brain
doesn't process things the same way in different languages. My sentence
is like saying " That small black man whose an idiot is grabbing my
shirt " rather than the direct translation " That small black idiot is
grabbing my shirt "
Also, negrito might be accepted in Latin America, dunno bout that, but it isn't really in Spain, just asked five Spanish people I know via fb and everyone of them said that it's slightly racist for them.

I'd be surprised if there was video evidence considering there were no video evidence previously presented. I mean it shouldn't be difficult to find video evidence during a corner in front of the Kop.xPeterLFC95 wrote:Maybe a few personal testimonies, unseen video evidence, a confession from SuarezDean wrote:What evidence 'could' the FA have then? If Suarez had a confession, I think LFC would know about it, which rules that out.

Re: Suarez banned for eight games.
Guess the cultural differences defence didn't hold up then. Sad to see that there actually seems to be a case here and not just a missunderstanding...
I'm a little shocked by Liverpool's treatment of the whole thing though. I could understand the official protest coming from the club during the investigation. Their protests when he was being charged however were.... missguided to say the least, and now that there is a verdict, after months of deliberation, they attack Evra?
I know some people will see this as bitterness and maybe even rival remarks, towards Liverpool. But the fact is that this is being handled in the worst way possible. A serious charge was first treated as nonsense, then when the charge is confirmed they continue to dismiss it and support their player fully without a shred of evidence, when it finally is confirmed they take a hardline stance, accusing Evra of lies and accusing the FA, who gave Suarez an extraordinary ammount of time to come up with a defence, of being biased and incompetent.
I could understand it if it was a supporters group, or some angry fans, but the actual club? I can't begin to describe how unprofessional that is. It may be that you strongly disagree, and that you will continue to prove his innocence, but keep it to yourself and work behind the scenes like any other professional organization.
Your player was just accused and convicted of racism. Based on the charge he got off lightly. Have some common sense and think about what the hell you are doing for a moment.
