Wow we have a mind reader on the forum. Gary Hooper has said he wants to sign a contract extension with Celtic.

Probably because no Premier League team has come in for him .

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery believes Robert Lewandowski would be a better signing for the club than his Borussia Dortmund teammate Mario Gotze.
Voller: Leverkusen can't compete
Germany's teenage midfielder Gotze has been linked with a move to the Allianz Arena, despite insisting he is happy at Dortmund, with Bayern president Uli Hoeness recently promising one big-money signing for next season.
Ribery, though, believes striker Robert Lewandowski would be the better option.
"For me, Lewandowski is more valuable than Gotze, he is a super player," he told Sport Bild magazine.
"Gotze is more of a central player, not for out wide. Lewandowski is a great striker.
"When I look at Dortmund, then it is Robert Lewandowski who catches my eye."
While Gotze plays a similar role to Ribery, Lewandowski is an out-and-out striker.
The Pole has scored 12 goals for Dortmund this season and fulfils the criteria of the "attacking bomb" Hoeness has vowed to find.
Jelavic9|RFC wrote:Maestro, you forgot to mention the reason he doesn't want to sign a pre-contract, everyone in here and I mean everyone probably knows that he is injury prone, like fucking proper injuries as well. Cruciate ligaments, broken legs etc. So if he was to sign it and get injured the contract would be null and void, so he is looking to be signed just now. But after todays performance, I am fucking glad. And I pray that we don't pay for him, he was very poor. Though unfortunately, he still wants to come to us.
Like the sound of this Celik guy, hopefully another signing of the window like Aluko. MOTM in 4 out of his first 5 Rangers games, simply outstanding. Now everyone can see why Juventus took him.

Blackpool....a team which was always going to go straight back down and is an incredibly small club.
That doesn't prove anything . Also obviously he is going to big Celtic up when he is playing for them.

Surely it's the other way around: if he signed the pre-contract now it would be a guarantee of a move to Rangers at the end of the season. If he waited until the end of the season he might get injured and then jeopardize his move to Rangers. My theory is that he is holding out for a move to a bigger club in the summer.
Hmm, there's something different about your signature, can't quite put my finger on what it is.
