You don't need money to develop players better. You've got quality facilities, the reason is the standard of football is shite and players reach a level they can't get past.

The money is quite a poor excuse, maybe it's true compared to England but I'm sure countries such as Cyprus and Israel who are ahead of Scotland in the UEFA rankings don't get much more than Scotland. I think polska brought that point up in another thread think

Are you fuck. The same thing is said every year Around four teams always get touted as potential title winners, but only two are really in the race every year. For people slagging of the quality of our league, the Premier League champions were knocked out out of one of the easiest groups in the Champions League, their only title challenge, Man City followed them out. And Spurs, who have got no chance, were put out of the Europa behind Rubin Kazan and Paok Salonika.

Man City, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs this season, Liverpool probably challenging again soon.

Hardly a 2 horse race is it?

He's just another deluded Scotsman that doesn't understand.

If Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs went onto win the title ahead of Man City and Man U, sure a few heads would turn but it wouldn't be a massive surprise considering we already know these teams have quality players.

Now if Hibernian win the SPL, that's a massive shock. If Valencia/A Madrid/Sevilla win the Spanish league, that's a massive shock too.

The difference in the EPL is much smaller than both of them leagues.

No, I said if they won the league one season then people wouldn't be massively surprised. See, you still think the only thing that matter is what happens this season.

It's all about the way people would react if a certain team won a league. Motherwell win, massive shock. Liverpool win, unexpected but not a massive shock, they are a massive club.

How can you say the BPL is a 2 team league... If City win it this year then 3 different teams will have won it in 3 years...

Everything was going well until you mentioned La Liga.

Since the year 2000 there have been 4 different La Liga champions, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Deportivo La Coruña.

Since the year 2000 there have been 3 different BPL champions, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Last time a team other than Real Madrid and Barcelona won La Liga it was in 2004.

Last time a team other than Chelsea or United won the leauge it was in 2004.

That last thing will probably change with Manchester City winning it this year but the only reason that was possible is because they become stupid rich and that allowed them to over take Chelsea.

Give it a few years and it's going to end up becoming a Man United, Manchester City two horse race.

I think the difference between La Liga and the Premier League is the fact that in La Liga it'll be Real Madrid and Barcelona and then like a 10+ gap until 3rd place but I know Villareal got 2nd a couple of years ago. In the League it's normally kinda close between the top 4
