What?
You don't need money to develop players better. You've got quality facilities, the reason is the standard of football is shite and players reach a level they can't get past.

Yeah the Premeirship is so competitive.
2 horse race.

Man City, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs this season, Liverpool probably challenging again soon.
Hardly a 2 horse race is it?

James wrote:Yeah, i'm not sure who the 3rd best team is in the league. But whoever it is, if they won it.. it would be massive shock.
James wrote:No but dood! They have 2 games in hand and they win them they are only a massive 13 points behind.
James wrote:No, I said if they won the league one season then people wouldn't be massively surprised. See, you still think the only thing that matter is what happens this season.
It's all about the way people would react if a certain team won a league. Motherwell win, massive shock. Liverpool win, unexpected but not a massive shock, they are a massive club.

No you said Liverpool were potential title challengers. And of course it would be a massive shock if Liverpool won the Premiership. YOU HAVEN'T EVEN WON IT YET IN YOUR HISTORY!!! Andy Carroll, Charlie Adam, Henderson, whoaoaaaahhhhhh that's a team made of Champions!!!

Everything was going well until you mentioned La Liga.James wrote:He's just another deluded Scotsman that doesn't understand.
If Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs went onto win the title ahead of Man City and Man U, sure a few heads would turn but it wouldn't be a massive surprise considering we already know these teams have quality players.
Now if Hibernian win the SPL, that's a massive shock. If Valencia/A Madrid/Sevilla win the Spanish league, that's a massive shock too.
The difference in the EPL is much smaller than both of them leagues.

Since the year 2000 there have been 4 different La Liga champions, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Deportivo La Coruña.
Since the year 2000 there have been 3 different BPL champions, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Last time a team other than Real Madrid and Barcelona won La Liga it was in 2004.
Last time a team other than Chelsea or United won the leauge it was in 2004.
That last thing will probably change with Manchester City winning it this year but the only reason that was possible is because they become stupid rich and that allowed them to over take Chelsea.
Give it a few years and it's going to end up becoming a Man United, Manchester City two horse race.
