I'm terrified of clicking on the book thread by accident. You should put spoiler warning in the title anyway, for the sake of the unsuspecting.

I got bored of Boardwalk Empire, it was kind of "Ohhhh who can we steal alcohol from this week?"

Boardwalk Empire is great, wasn't as engaged with it, but I felt it had genuine quality about it.

I like Theon. He shouldn't have taken Winterfell though, and those weren't the kids guarantee it.

Jamie is a real cunt....I suspect soon that the imp will plot to have Joffrey killed and the season will end around that in 2 weeks

Was hoping they would add that scene with Jaime and Cat in the series, probably the best scene in AKOC.

Hate that they didn't add the details about Edd's brother and father. Rolling Eyes

I don't think Jamie is that bad. He makes valid points. If they wanted the Mad King dead, then why do they give his so much shit for being the king slayer?

Because a member of the kingsguard isn't supposed to slay the king shifty

    it's an honor thing.

I'll have to side with Jamie on this one. The honor thing seems like a BS excuse to be mad at him about, seeing as Robert and Ned would have killed him anyway. Last I knew, subjects aren't supposed to kill their King. It isn't honarable shifty

Well Aerys killed Ned's father and brother while his son stole Roberts soon to be wife, so they had reason. Jaimie killed Aerys not because he was evil, but as a show of new loyalty to Robert.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Still, I think that he gets treated unfairly for the king slayer thing. He was an asshole for what he did in the first episode though.

    Jaime's still so admirable.

Wonder what Jon will go through now. Touching to see Tyrion and Cersei have a heart to heart moment. Theon's gone, that was too far. He's messed up in the head. The knight's bastard should arrive soon with his men.

Incredible scene, almost made up for the fact that they shortened Catelyn and Jaimie's moments. The past few episodes have been really big moments (riots, assassinations, etc.) but this episode was really good with very little action, the scenes where they paired up cast members (Arya/Tywin, Jon/Ygritte, Cat/Jaimie, Cersei/Tyrion) were really well done.

This show really excels at dialogue amongst many things.

Tyrian only had one scene! Instead we had Jon and Theon in the spotlight. Pleasant change.

I think it's obvous that Theon will eventually redeem. How anyone in the Stark family or Winterfell can forgive him is beyond me though.
