The FA have contacted FIFA about the poppy situation, Prince William is the president if the FA so I don't think it's surprising that he's the one who's wrote to FIFA.

Surprised this hasn't been updated with the news that England will wear black armbands with poppies on the armbands.

OK, what if Palestine commemorated a fallen Hammas leader? What if Al Qaeda or the Taliban eventually controlled Afghanistan?

The poppy isn't about a leader it is about people. Average, everyday people who gave their lives.

I think if Palestine wanted to wear a neutral symbol that commemorated their dead, I would be ok with that.
