Even if it was done as a joke. He should still be banned, he is looked up to by many kids and if they see him saying it they'll probably think it's okay for them to say it too. Kicking racism out of football doesn't mean stop the racists, it's to stop any form of racism whether it is meant as a joke or not.

As I've said many times now, the remark was racist, but people will say anything in the right moment to get under someone's skin, it doesn't mean they believe it.
Good, because after that comment I've established that you're not

Warnock said that tongue-in-cheek, I seen the interview on SSN.

But you can't even establish for sure what he said, and if there's doubt over it, you can't make a call that he was being racist, there is too much at stake.

Terry made racist comments towards Ledley King five years ago, I posted it in the 'slipped' thread but everyone was busy trolling so nobody noticed.
Well Terry kinda does have a reputation of being a racist, I'm not sure
if you remember it but pretty much five years ago he insulted Ledley
King as a 'lippy black monkey'. I remember hearing about the controversy
and seeing the scene, King snapped which is highly unnatural for him and
I think it was SWP and other black teammates who had a go at Terry who
then got sent off, can't find any footage of it though. I'm pretty sure
he was being racist to King but I think it went to nothing in the end.

TBH I think racism is as much banter as anything else.
I can have racist banter with my black, brown or asian mates and there are no bad feelings....it is just banter and we all laugh about it......NO hidden "oh I'll laugh but I really hate it" shit.

Ok, give racism the green light.Liverpool wrote:If the F.A banned every footballer when they said a racist remark, nearly every single football player would be banned.

It only depends what kind of racism used that should be considered unacceptable.

That makes racism ok, it's just banter
