I wouldn't go to the away game if I was Jordi though because of how shit the ground is. Even the Floodlights turned off because they hated it so much.

I'm contracted to 9 hours, 5 1/2 on a Friday, 3 1/2 on a Sunday, plus any overtime I ask for/they give me. I told them I can't do all day Saturday's due to having a season ticket. I did say that I could do 9-1 or 8-12 on a Saturday morning if needed though, just to show that I was willing to work both days on a weekend. But I suppose it's how far away your work is from Bury's ground For me, Morrisons is 5 minutes away from Forest and on the same bus route i'd have to use if I was coming from home so it's pretty convenient.

Re: npower Football League 2011/2012
A wonderful post that brought a tear to my eye it really put things into perspective
A big thank you to the hospice, to "4 Rail Services" and to the West stand who applauded my father onto the pitch in his wheelchair! First time he's ever been in one, it was kindly provided by the Trinity Hospice as he is now so weak he's struggling to walk!
What a fantastic day I can't praise the Hospice enough for giving my dad such a wonderful day!
Some of you will know already that my dad made me a Seasider (just like many of you I imagine) and it has been our father and son journey these past 40 years!
Sadly he has inoperable stomach cancer and hasn't got long to go. I'll miss him so much, it won't ever be quite the same but I have my 2 boys to take along on our new journey wherever that may be?
I must also say a very special thank you to Mr Simon Hargreaves of 4 Rail services. What a remarkable man, a true Seasider, a very special man after my own heart. I'd like to think if I was ever wealthy enough to own a box that I would do something similar. He lives in London and when he can't make games or can't fill his private box he gives tickets to The Trinity Hospice, for fundraising, staff or terminally ill patients. Simon you made a very poorly man, very happy I can never thank you enough for such a wonderful day!
I've never been in a private box before and it was just fabulous, the walls adorned with signed replica shirts, the service was top class, the drinks on the house and the food fabulous. The view just stunning, almost unreal!
The highlight though was we were the match sponsors, so we (especially me) had to pick man of the match. For me it was either Lua Lua or Ludo with Baptise and Cathcart also in the fray! Gosh the pressure of getting it wrong is extraordinary I kinda wanted us to give it to Ludo because with him we are starting to finally click (Im sure Mr Holloway will see it though) but despite a few murmurings for KP it was the majority in favour of Lua Lua and I was glad to see the text vote agreed with us (phew)
Finally a special mention to our fans in the West who applauded my dad as he was wheeled on to the pitch he was truly overwhelmed and I had to wipe a tear. As a young teenager he had trials with us but didn't make it and I guess to be finally applauded on to the pitch HE FINALLY DID IT!!!!!
Finally it feels like a wonderful book-end to our journey together from the day my dad took me to my first match sat in the South Stand and threw me up in the air as a 4 or 5 yr old? To this day (probably one of the last times we'll ever go to the match together!
DAD, I used to joke the you made me a Seasider to ruin my life!! But it's been an incredible life long journey from the very bottom and re-election to being top of the Premier League (if only for a few hours!!)
DAD it has been worth every moment shared together of pain, joy and Exstacy!!!!!!!

From our remaining fixtures if I had to pick 5 away matches to go to it'd likely be Burnley, Barnsley, Middlesbrough, Reading, Blackpool. Will try and do all them, plus another further away match to make a weekend of (maybe Pompey, stopping over in Brighton cause that was class).

Bubble trips must be shit. I've been to Millwall and Cardiff which are similar but not the same and it just takes the enjoyment out. I got a police escort to Chesterfield once i got off the train last season I don't know why they thought they're would be some massive trouble and the only trouble was from their fans coming on the pitch.

I doubt it could happen with the Leeds fans because of the different places we all live and how many of us there are.
I've been Luton twice by the way. One in the home end and one in the away. I remember walking under an alleyway which was connected to the ground. Everyone was pissing in the alleyway and it was not until I saw the size of the toilets that I realised why.

We had to wait at Peterborough station with police the other week because we had already filled the designated away pubs by the time our train arrived at like 10am. They eventually phoned Yates' and got us in there, was a shit escort though they just left us half way through!

Do you ever see any trouble at your games? There looked to be something happening at Oldham Saturday with a few of our fans walking out and the Oldham ones at the same time.... I don't agree with it but sometimes it does help to the atmosphere if there are having a go at each other.

Saw a few people fighting on the way out of Bramall Lane and got held back by police for a bit as a result (we were walking right next to the guy who suddenly walked across the road and twatted a lad who had apparently spat at his wife). Also at the Man U game in the CC at Elland Road but that was expected, a few foolish Mancs strayed into the area near the United Bar and got swiftly sent packing.

Thats just stupid for a derby match, their wasn't any trouble against Rochdale this season which was surprising but it was probably due to the result and their poor following but there will probably be trouble at Spotland in January and the kick off will be moved to noon to avoid it i'd assume.Uncle John from Jamaica wrote:Saw a few people fighting on the way out of Bramall Lane and got held back by police for a bit as a result (we were walking right next to the guy who suddenly walked across the road and twatted a lad who had apparently spat at his wife). Nothing major really, just a few scuffles every blue moon. Although in 2007 our fans invaded the pitch at Notts County in a friendly and it all kicked off
In Portugal over the summer there were a few arrests on the strip too; 2 of them being people that we'd went with The police were so heavy handed though it was ridiculous, absolutely battered the back of my mates dads legs.

There were loads of Hooligan ultras for Colchester in the early to late 90's but as soon as the 2000's came they fizzled out as People started to get pissed with them and they just changed over night. But we still have our fair share of fights and bust-ups but they are never posted online due to Essex Police being so hard on Hooliganism in Essex, so Southend and Colchester don't have Ultras and stuff anymore, used too, but no longer do.
Btw that Year ago wasnt a joke at Bury or you btw.

I love to have a few drinks on the train and stuff on an away day but I always feel like we get looked at like hooligans. I Wouldnt hurt a fly and neither would the lads I go with but once we sit on a train early with a few beers people look scared. We are a dopey looking bunch as well.
All this talk tonight has made me buzzing for Burnley now! Off out in Sheff next weekend so that'll be good as well.
