That as far as I'm concerned is our second choice partnership behind Cleverley and Anderson.

Yea. Anderson has really came on this season, kicked on from his good form at the end of last season.
Hopefully, Cleverley comes back playing how he was before, really added something new to the midfield, something we actually missed.

Having Carrick and Cleverley out is just a killer for us, we'll probably struggle tomorrow and v Norwich.
Then hopefully after the international break we have our players back, and we'll probably get our customary loss at Anfield.

Carrick has always been better than Fletcher imo, but Fletcher used to get stuck in these days he backs out of 50/50 tackles and can't pass for shit.RafaVDV wrote:I swear Utd fans have been bumming fletcher for the past 2 seasons, when did it go back to Carrick being the good one :S

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
I haven't seen the same Carrick since he went to Utd imo, not seen him have the same influence but I suppose thats due to being outshined by Rooney etc. Either way be nice to see him getting more games again, Anderson coming along better too though.

Than god there's a break soon. Our squad is getting fucked atm.
If we hadn't have signed Jones we'd have one fit senior centre back.

Crazy game, reminds me of the home tie in 09/10 against CSKA...
Defending was awful all night, somehow. Looked good going forward though, Nani's cross for the equaliser.

Ref was a twat. Defending was a disgrace. Poor poor performance at the back.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
We were awful at defending tonight, which is a first. Was more down to our wing backs, just didn't defend, out of position which cost us the second goal and which gave away the penalty. It was a huge disappointment as defensively we are usually miles better.
Attack was good first half, even though we did look poor. Welbeck took his chances well but those 2 goals will be overshadowed by our shit performance, sadly for him. Second half, we just didn't get going at all, sloppy football, didn't look interested and created very little until the end, when we scored.
Park, in my opinion, was a waste of a sub, over hitting passes and unsuccessful passes. Maybe I'm being harsh on him as most of the other players weren't great.
Youngs finish for the goal was good, great cross from Nani.
I usually hate blaming the referee but we should have had a penalty for that handball, which was quite blatant. The amount of times he got in the way as well
Overall, poor performance and I'm hoping the bollocking Fergie gives them makes them play a whole lot better at the weekend. At least we didn't lose at the end, would have been worse than already

Tbh Moscow, with Park, who else could we have bought on? Diouf?
But yeah, he did overhit 2 simple through balls. Second one wasn't helped by the referee though.

My friends, a similar occassion happened this time last year against Rangers at home. Their is absolutely nothing to worry about, when it matters Fergie will stop experimenting with Welbeck up front on his own and play tried and trusted members such as Berbatov, Rooney and Hernandez again

It's more of a case that Welbeck is at the moment our third best striker. Maybe even second.
First atm by a mile with Rooney and Hernandez out.

Should have kept Anderson on, more creativity. Bring Berbatov/Owen on for Giggs instead.

United draw both opening games, as they did in 98/99 when they won the European Cup. #MUFC
