Because he slows the game down you think this is bad? You think we can always play at 100miles an hour? This isn't Fifa this is real life. You need to slow the tempo down sometimes to keep the ball, calm down and then spread it around.
Carrick did have a bad patch a few seasons ago but he's actually played well lately, something people wont praise him for because they are so use to using him as a scapegoat. When something goes bad the first person people will blame will be Carrick even though he isn't his fault.
